  1. PS3... on Xbox360 Pricing, 2 Models at Launch · · Score: 1, Interesting

Note the price: $299. If that's the case MS really is doomed.

The obvious answer is so they don't have to worry about supporting people's bargain basement gimp hardware that they've had laying on a shelf in the garage for six years or has weird compatibility problems they couldn't anticipate.

    - The smoke looks stunning
    - The explosions look brilliant

And finally, the only evidence needed to know that this entire article was a big troll:

    - Would Microsoft back a loser?

Xbox360: stunning, stunning, brilliantly stunning smoke and detritus.

I haven't worked retail for 10+ years, so I'm not sure how it works. Looking at the amount of hardselling, shelf space, and wall/window ads they have for the Xbox and Xbox 360, I can only assume they are paid well by MS/Sony for the additional room.

I've heard the sales guys say some outlandish shit to move PSPs and Xboxes, though. The only thing I've heard them say about the DS is "Please come buy one. We have way too many."

    Weird.

At GameStop they use the UMD movies to pad out the tiny selection of PSP games so it takes up more wall space. "Look how much is available! Nintendo's tiny wall for their cheaper device cannot compete!"

GameStop hides the DS games back near the carrying cases and accessories rack where nobody can see them. It's the only way they can have enough room for the 30 foot long Xbox banners.

I don't know how they do it at other stores.

People will just wait until Sony and MS realize they aren't going to make any money selling that high and come forth with the inevitable price drop, or they will buy a Nintendo.

Your post would have been correct if you'd only said:
