Many parts of mozilla lose data (or did) in critical situations, either in Disk full situation or the 2GB limit.
I've lost bookmarks, history, newsrc files, mail flags... No actual mail yet, AFAIK.
I use thunderbird and like it, but have long since switched to using a local IMAP server fed by fetchmail+bogofilter to store my mail.
This is the direction Thunderbird should be taken IMO. An IMAP client + imap server with published extensions that handle advanced features (better labeling, views/indexing, searching, serverside actions that core IMPA doesn't have. Basically, split the GUI from the backend.
Safe? Yes.
It's not reasonable because fuel/energy consumption goes way up.
Is the cause of the jagged line in the graph?
Such large-ish spikes might not be good for the user experience.
It would be interesting to have CPU usage + working set overlaid with this graph.
Firefox 2.0 and Opera graph looks much smoother.
For me, the peak of RTS was Dune 2.
It was simple and fun to play.
Tank rush FTW!
If you haven't yet, try Painkiller.
The graphics and gameplay remind me very much of Quake.
I'll wait until DRM is cracked (especially region coding).
I prefer the Lave to Zaonce run.
I have ruined at least one mouse in Q3A because you have to click for respawn only after one second delay
(clicks before are ignored).
I prefer space simulators that use mouse well (Wing Commander).
Basically, you point to your target and the ship turns in that direction.
It's really a better way to play than using the joystick.
Seconded.
I'm also in favor of that.
Also, force them to be without mouse for 1 day of the week.
Aren't most power tool batteries NiCd?
XUL is UI-wise just fine for Windows and Linux users.
I don't know about MacOSX, cause OSX is different.
There's a lot of fun in unlagged railgun instagib (Q3A, but Q2 rail gun play was also very good).
Too bad it's not XML. I really like to generate/modify my XSLT scripts using XSLT.
It was brilliant compared to it's rival (at least here), the ZX Spectrum, which had the keys made of rubber.
They are very interesting, just not visible.
I hope it does. Let's leave time travel plots to Doctor Who.
>Maybe someday we'll get real exclusive use on files.
Maybe in year 3000, webusers over IIS will not lock my local files.
(not joking, this is one of my major Windows annoyances)
For the paranoid, check if $to is a subdirectory of $from.
If you're lucky, it will take forever and then delete all your data.
A similiar quote I heard (don't remember exactly, anyone? It was in german):
"Can you just..." costs DM20.
In non-benchmarks, it's a win because it's a compression for executable code.
And that is bad why?
Q2 had the best rail ever.

Sony should encourage the Linux-PS3 as a PC Console, releasing/encouraging the games for Linux-PS3, taking advantage of Mouse/Keyboard.
I'd buy a console then.
Too bad PS3 doesn't have an X86 CPU.
I don't care about 8 cores (2 or 3 is enough).
I'd really like to have laptop with 2 drives (mirrored) and a 24" display.
Make sure it includes the full size/strength Model M keyboard.
