    The parent makes a good point - why would anyone want to give YOU any news if you are just going to sue them? Do you want to agree to a TOS for browsing news (you probably already do!)? News services do not claim to be 100% accurate - why are you expecting them to be? All newspapers are expected to do is post a few lines of apology in the next day's paper to make the correction. Don't use the service if you don't like it, and don't trade stocks (manually, let alone automatically) if you don't like this element of risk. False news injection WILL happen. This time it was accidentally - next time it might be purposeful. Hey check out my blog! Microsoft went bankrupt!! (Psyche!!)

    my personal tactic is a CAPTCHA with a plain string of 4 letters repeated 3 times, all in the same random color, with mild random x/y offset and rotation. they overlap greatly and look nothing like the original letters, yet it is often easy for a human to figure out by looking at all sides. just how is OCR going to solve that??

    Their market share is disproportional, too. Maybe there's a link between the two. Every OS is vulnerable - Windows is just targeted more because there's more out there. I'm not saying they're not evil, but despite what we are led to believe virii exist for every OS.

    With a dedicated server you pay ~$1/mo per IP currently. So what if it goes up to $2 or $5 in 10 years? You need, maybe, 5 IPs on a server. We don't need IPv6 yet.

    You can't pirate WoW, you can't pirate TF2... I'm sold and have more games than time to play them. Yarr :( As long as there is a remote server it seems security can be maintained... well, except for playing on hacked servers... but how many people actually know how to do that? One-player games will die out - they can't be protected.

    Do you trust big pharma to know what's necessary? We are just beginning to understand the body. I highly doubt powder vitamin and mineral supplements are a good replacement for natural fibre and fats... Of course, I've never 'tried' to become vegan. Why would I risk it? We've been eating meat forever. I like the comment about making the farming process more environmentally-friendly. I'll take one plate of 50 chicken wings, please. :P
