Gatesians are frequently hunted and killed by a vicious breed of beast. Gatesians sometimes live in houses with walls, and so are not attacked by beasts, but most Gatesians believe that they don't need walls, and are attacked.
Jobsians are tasty to beasts too, but they live in a separate town, that's kind of far away from where the Gatesians live. They might even be a little tastier, too, because all the running makes them nice and juicy. But beasts rarely attack Jobsians because once they get to the Jobsian city, there aren't enough of them to be worth the effort.
So the beasts stay around the Gatesians, because most of them are dumb, and there's just so many that there's not much of a point to try attacking the Jobsian village.
Then again, there's the Torvaldites, but that's a different story for a different day.
I am also looking for a wireless keyboard for an HTPC-type application. Ideally, it would be small (no keypad needed), with a built in mouse pointing system (no separate mouse). It would also be nice if there was a separate wireless remote control-like controller included (for times where you just want to point-n-click, no typing needed). I don't hold out much hope finding that, either...
Microsoft makes one for MCE stuff, but it might work for other HTPCs. It's gotten decent reviews.
Got it from some professor at "Yale." The link opens up some WMF file, or at least it tried to, when Firefox asked me what program to open it with. MacAfee caught it then too. A txt file was attached. Beware, I suppose. Here's the full text.
Hello,
We are very sad to say that over the New Year the Campus was subjected to
several acts of mindless vandalism. As well as bricks being thrown through
windows, several members of staff have reported their cars as being the
subject of practical jokes. Some of these cars were filled with water whilst
others had graffiti daubed across them. We have uploaded the pictures of the
graffiti here http://playtimepiano.home.comcast.net/ in the hope that someone
may recognise the culprits work. If anyone can shed any light on this
unfortunate
incident could they please contact the main office as soon as they have time.
I think the best of them all still has to be the Caltech rose bowl prank. Nothing I've read about even comes close to the level of skill and amazingness that they pulled back in the sixties.
Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?!
NSA stole the cookie from the cookie jar!
Who me?!
Yes you!
Couldn't be!
Then WHO?!!
White House stole the cookie from the cookie jar!
*** NSA has been kicked by White House (fuck you i didn't touch the motherfucking cookie, bitch)
But microsoft does use disks. The issue is mainly that Blu Rays most likely won't be able to be used at all in a purely digital system, so no storage on the computer, no streaming to a device. Microsoft at least wants consumers to be able to use thier media freely enough within a household, as with the Media Center thing. If BDs take off, then microsoft's method of action here becomes pretty useless.
I was really good in my high-school chem class, and I only looked at the book once over the entire year. I don't think I was the only one, and come an exam, one of the questions was: "What chapter of the book was this quiz on." Hardest question in the entire semester.
"The internet connection is my lifeline," said Jennifer Strother, a mother of two young children who lives in Smithfield, Virginia. "It's the connection to friends, e-mail -- especially for stay-at-home moms. I'm hungry for adult conversation and any news that isn't Dora the Explorer or Blue's Clues."
I've always thought that Barney was a much more reliable news source. Of course, not that Fox News is any more usable.
I thought all you'd need would be...

Damn straight. Best mod I've used in a very, very long time. Better than some of Valve's own stuff.
Something like its a search engine that after you enter in a query, it rudely refuses.

I wouldn't think that your AMD system would ever have had an Intel inside.

"Google Safe Browsing" seems to work pretty well.
Not quite the dual core, but Source engine stuff takes advantage of AMD 64bit stuff if you have XP x64
What real work didn't get done so someone could write this article?
Still, who would you rather have as president? Pinky or The Brain?
I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.

The link provided is to the single-page, non-ad filled "print version." Good move. Very un-slashdot like.

MS did something genuinely useful? And you're not afraid to tell /.? You must be new here.
Hmm. A DoS from the DoD.
I, for one, welcome our new automobile headlight overlords.
