Whether its the attachment of a Creative Commons type license, or putting together some sort of cooperative (performer-owned) "recording label" that would represent their rights, once this is done, and this license, or label grants rights for free Internet play, subsequent contracts with Warner coudn't reach back to this earlier content any more than they could to that owned by a smaller label.
That assumes they release it on a "label" to begin with. Let's go with this scenario: I make a song, I put it on the internet without anything denoting it being licensed in any way. Then, I get signed to Warner, and they want that song. I just had that song go from "Have fun with it" status to "You're screwed if you're playing it" status without anyone knowing.
Now, take another scenario: I release a song on CC. I change one knob on a synth slightly, rerecord, and have a contract with Warner for the song. Who the hell is gonna be able to tell the difference?
I think they're going for abnormal driving conditions. Out in the middle of nowhere, at high temperature, going over 3k miles in 6 days. That not a trip people drive all the time.
Also, it's for a competition. Not for you to buy.
People who are 'good at math' are more likely to analyze the law exactly as written and determine logically whether or not he actually violated the law as written.
People who are good at math aren't writing the laws, it's people who are good at bullshitting via words.

The best way, in that case, would be to scan on the way out and then on the way back in. Then you know that person isn't legally here, and can be barred from entering more easily.
Definitely against this though. Why would this do absolutely ANYTHING to help us?
Do you want that bug/security fix, regardless of browser? I thought so.
How about that major update? Gonna hold off on that one till it's a little bit more stable/faster/whatever? Hey, I guess you had the choice with FF. IE8 doesn't give you a chance. There's the difference.
..somehow get congress to stop their continuous feeding at the trough of corporate lobbyists... Congress doesn't want to stop feeding on the trough. It's in their best interest, in the form of donations, to continue getting their money. They are, after all, only their for their reelection, and not really there for the people.
Jon Stewart, however, has the point that they bring up a news story, without levels of bias so thick you can't see through to the actual truth, and then make fun of it going for them. Of course, they're aiming at the twits who would watch ads. But for those who would rather get an overview of important events (and be entertained in the process) than be bombarded with useless detail (such as on cable news), Stewart's the best option.

Democrats support corporate bailouts, drug wars, terror wars, etc. The American people do not.
It's politicians in general that support these.
