Which prompts more active resistance until it becomes a full-blown rebellion against the tyrants.

Is not the cost per Mb is the same for the Telco, whether on contract, month-to-month after contract, or prepaid? Charging prepaid plans a higher rate than contract or month-to-month is an unfair business practice.

Contracts are a liquid asset to any company. Contracts can be transferred or sold. They are an very large and accurate indicator of any company's value.

You provide very little to a company on a pay-as-you-go plan, hence the added cost. It's a very prudent business practice.

Why do things differ so much from State to State?

Most Americans would agree that at the time of the last election, Bush was a HUGE mistake. He ranks third in the title of lowest approval ratings according to wikipedia (for the years the data was available). He takes the bronze behind Truman and Nixon. Only now do republicans and Fox News glorify his rein of burying the country into a recession (with some collateral damage worldwide to boot). Cutting taxes and waging wars -- simply unprecedented. And I mean that in the worst possible way.

Disagree. While its nice to have smart people in positions of power, its still boils down to a population sample (some razors, some rocks).

The real problem here is the claim process itself, eg, USPTO. Claims are meant to be understood by a lay person, written from perspective every 'player' in the 'system'. Its overly wordy, and overly illustrated, but usually it gets its point across to explain it as if you were explaining it to grandma.

IANAL, but patents are more deep in the sense that they are designed to accommodate grandma, not another scientist or engineer. In engineering school, they teach that you should explain your design such that another person (presumably, engineer) can build it from scratch with only the documentation. In law school, documentation is designed to convey just enough understanding to the lay person so that property rights can be assigned.

USPTO has completely screwed the pooch the day we need interpreters and/or educational processes for IP claims.
