*The offer is only valid if you sign up a new Anarchy Online account between the 15th of December 2004 and 15th of January 2005. You can play free of charge until 1/1 2006. Should Funcom deem that a too high-increase in server load or other unforeseen events will lessen the experience for existing players the offer will be terminated at our discretion. The free version does not include access to any of the three expansion packs. Should you wish to upgrade to any of the expansion packs monthly subscription and client fees will be added.
Have you gone to the options settings? There are settings for how bright your room is. If it's dark, set it to dark. You'd be supprised how much of a differenct it make when the settings are correct. Also, there is an sensitivity setting you can change.
Quoting the article: MPAA spokesman Rich Taylor said "this legislation will go a long way toward targeting one of the most serious contributors to piracy right now, which is the practice of camcording motion pictures. It's the first time the U.S. Senate has had legislation that specifically addresses the threat of camcording."
Then why all the hubub over file sharing? Why not just make it impossible to sneak a camcorder into a movie? Then all of the illegal files will disapear.
Well, that's one of the the dumbest things I've heard of. Was there a great cry out from users that the delete key was too small, and needed to be enlarged? I'm surprised windows users even know about the delete key, since it's so much less confusing just to click on the red X on the toolbar.
I find myself a little chagrined at the loss of the Insert key on modern keyboards. While perhaps not very important to the everyday computer user, I find myself missing a key feature (bad pun) without the key.
OK, I may be dumb for asking this, but what are you talking about? I haven't seen a keyboard yet that didn't have this key on it. What's next to your home key?
Actually, I'm glad it's going to be delayed. It gives me more time to save up some money to upgrade my machine. It sure as hell won't play on the dinosaur of a machine I have now.
You fight. And fight hard. If you do so the people will support you, because you are fighting from the right side. Take it to the end, at some point justice will be served.
I think you're forgetting one thing. This case is in the United States. We don't have justice here any more. Justice is only for those wierd European countries.
What I don't get is some of the crazy restrictions they place on using the music. From rule 4 of the EULA:
You may not purchase more than one hundred (100) Digital Downloads from a particular label at one time.
Now really, how the hell does that make any sence? Shouldn't I be allowed to blow 200 bucks by downloading 200 songs if I want? If I go into a record store, they don't tell me at the door I am only allowed to purchace 8 cd's.
That's funny, the site worked fine for me, and it even popped up one of those error like advertisements warning my that my pc was broadcasting my IP address.
I think they are doing it for a couple of reasons. The main one being using the linux crowd as a source of modules to keep the game alive. Think about it. D&D, Linux, fat sweaty programmers... It's a perfect fit!:)
They've been very open and understanding to the community the past couple of years, and I think a linux client just fits. I just don't think they realized it would be so difficult, and they got in a little over their head.

Or, you could just walk over to the scale on the other side of the house, and think of it as more exercise!
Then you should play a game she wants to feel, Rez, with the trance vibrator!
Unfortunately, it's not there this year: Due to Hotel Restrictions, There will be no AdultDex for 2003

Right?

I've been wondering the same thing about my windows key.

Well, I know that, and you know that, but I bet Logitech still included it in their 500 million number. :)
I just hope to god it never breaks, because the new design they have for it sucks.

How could this be marked troll? Bah.
Um, beacuase then you would definatley be breaking the law, which pretty much goes against what the guy was trying to accomplish.
Damn, I'm only getting 511KB/Sec, when this transfer finishes, I'm gonna have to try to beat my time.

I really like the censorship on the site also. I guess they don't like cats much. :)

If they actually go through with this, and make even more intrusive CD's and DVD's that I cannot make backups of, I simply will not buy them.
I'll own it, that's for sure. I'll just wait for some pissed off person to post it to usenet or one of the many file sharing services at my disposal.
Hell, I may even buy an iPod, just so I can copy songs to as many of my devices as possible.

Why did this story get posted to slashdot? It was written in March, which is when I read it the first time.
