There is a big difference between the size of an index and the number of or quality of search results returned. Yahoo may simply not return as meany results or retards the number of results returned for speed considerations. Just because their particular test favored Google's system doesn't make it accurate. I'm sure we could sit here and think of hundreds of different reasons or considerations not taken into account.
With each having billions upon billions of documents available and indexing more everyday who really cares?
I agree with you there. The judge stated the likelyhood of confusion there and gave them 30 days to reach a compromise. GEICO probably has a pack of lawyers they've unleashed upon the world. Once unleashed lawyers tend to milk all possible monies from both their clients and any possible targets without any regard for sensible compromise.
Because to people who don't understand what that means to others its still just a game. Once other people gain perspective it'll be just like any other human activity.
I wonder how many Judges, Senators or Representatives have ever played an online RPG? Not many I'm sure.
Its true that the demands been reduced but as is evident in this news item people aren't stopping in their buying of big nasty gas guzzlers. Sure its stemming sales but they're still outselling every other vehicle. Policy is necessary because most people don't care about how things will affect everyone in the long run. Its all about how they feel in the moment. You have to get into their moment to affect how they live in order for any real change to take place. I still look out my office window onto the busy street below and see 2 of every 3 soccer moms riding around in big new SUVs getting 15 to the gallon with no practical reason other than aesthetics
And BTW thanks for the science lesson professor. I was just making a joke concerning the sunscreen as things are going to get hotter with global warming. Next time I'll be sure to keep my joke scientifically accurate for the critical peeps.
With the other half of the world still developing(China and India) the world really needs to come together to develop ways to be not just more efficient but efficient in general. The way the average American acts I don't see that happening. Bigger trucks, bigger engines and more gases. We have no policy to promote the use of more efficient vehicles or lifestyles.
We apologise unreservedly, and will cooperate fully in helping Google change people's perceptions of its role just as soon as it feels capable of communicating to us how it wishes that role to be seen.
To me this is just a scary thing to read. Had this involved Microsoft they'd be up in front of a Senate committee by the end of the week. Google has the ability to not only do what they want but have the press say what they want.
Definitely agree with you on this. Microsoft is treated like the almighty Satan while Google gets the good guy pass to do whatever they want with little or no questioning. I think Google should be slammed by the rest of the press for coming down on one of their own.
Beats the hell out of the crappy little lego mindstorm bots that we had to build at LSU for CS. It picks the little ball up and drops it in the hole. Yay.
I bet its a relief that they finally got something to go right. Can't really blame them for having trouble with a spread out budget and 40 year old technology.
They don't want another disaster on their hands and it seems like they take every single precaution. I suppose they're trying to get the % chance of disaster down to 1 in 200 instead of 1 in 100
That they're no longer talking to CNET. Very much a jab at how childish Google is acting over the matter in my opinion. They didn't report anything that wasn't openly available information.
Google has always been grey on how much they've paid via Adsense and as a result many sites which made more using different PPC's made less on Google. Or they started off making more before planing off. Plus Google refuses to play nice with others.
I'm glad to see more competition.
It would take the whole web savy community as a whole promoting the use of other products to the sheeple out there in order to make a difference. I have friends using other browsers because I recommend it to them. Microsoft will eventually notice.
Maybe we'll hold off on spending billions on attacking backwoods countries and congress will take one less vacation in order to build something based on technology better than 20 years old. Unfortunately the average American is more interested in watching Big Brother than the concept of interplanetary exploration.

But I guess it may work in some cases. I bet these guys making headlines for getting retaliated against sometime soon.

And not made it so easy for people to duplicate gold and sell it online then he could've made it himself and funded the trip through an ebay account.

You're right I forgot about Deep Impact. You are correct sir. I guess its easy to be unappreciative when I'm not the one doing the work.

I'll dirnk to that brother in law.
Don't block IPs unless you're really really sure about it. Lasy bastard admins.

You should hit Fox up so they can start working on the reality show end of things for you.
Ah sweetness. I get it now. Thanks for the fill in.
Nasa removed the old filler but I haven't seen anywhere that they replaced the filler. Whats up with that?
