The point of the phishing site is to obtain a users credentials, OTP included. OTP's provide another means for authenticating the user to the bank, not the Website to the User.
How is open source a better solution when your only source of troubleshooting is Google?
Google as a troubleshooting resource, is better than 95% of closed source support resources.
Once you learn how to use Google you will understand this.

They could also block the dns requests upstream. Plus as far as I can remember a client would only try a limited amount of times before trying another root server. Oh and only DNS servers configured to do recursive queries would normally query a root server.
I wonder if this will also make Network Solutions think twice about registering a domain every time a whois search is done on their site so that you can not register that domain at any other registrar?
This is exactly what the Tippingpoint zero day initiative is for. To give credit and a bit money to researchers who spend time and effort to discover vulnerabilities in software.
Sure these researches should get money/credit, but what if they become greedy or irresponsible?
The OpenBSD bug is not as severe, but when they have a chance to make OpenBSD a little bit more secure, why not take it, especially when their focus is on security.
OpenBSD's argument is that a patch would not make it more secure... so your point is moot.

These tests were done on RC version of the service pack. All Microsoft have to do now is change/add code that will make the performance suck again and release it in the final SP3 for XP.

because the cost of moving 35000+ employees out weighs the benefits of moving to Nevada.
Prior to 911 the masses were not too concerned about commercial jets flying into buildings. Think proactive security.
