    It's difficult to have a movement without any movement, or at least momentum. If they were stealing GPL code that would be one thing. If they support you without embracing your dogma, that is entirely another.

    Dude - everyone is still mad at Clinton. Clinton was unremarkable in every way, including his corruption. He who does not study the past is doomed to repeat it, but you seem to be arguing that the past is more important than the present. I'm not trying to troll here, I just would like to hear your thoughts on this (especially since you are so active in this thread).

    I prefer DLP to the lot of them. But plasma DOES wear out. And that company sells both, so I can't see the advantage to being biases either way.

    In addition, plasma TVs look like they dither colors to me.

    In conclusion, meh.

    The space after the startup= is oddly a necessity.

    Nope. NTFS is a metadata file system. Read as "Extended Attributes". The data is an attribute on the file pointer, as are the SACLS, DACLS, location, etc. It has much much much more in common with HPFS (guess why) than FAT.

    Of course it also has multiple file tables as well. In short, quite different from FAT, for better or worse.

    All of the comments seem to say that this is a bad thing because it will be slower or that it may crash the system. The highest moderated messages endorse only open source drivers for everything.

    Great idea. Also, I want a magical pony that shits native open source drivers and sings the GPL. I think that this is good news overall. Some driver support is better than none (in the desktop space, that is).

    All are possible; number 2 you may need to get from your GSM provider. I know T-Mobile has a VPN over GSM service, but I haven't tried it.

    The palm VNC client is pretty good, though. It is painful over GSM.

    Windows 2000 is NT 5.0, XP is NT 5.1, Server 2K3 is 5.2.

    Also, in WinXP or higher, you can pipe text into the copy buffer. I use this all the time.

    Don't try the last one unless you save your open files. And yes, the system will let you unmount the system drive.

    Actually, the point above is that I'm already paying for it with more of my income than is wise. This is a lesson forgotten by the USA as a whole: the consumer has the power. Without a purchaser it is just a circle jerk in Hollywood.

    Also, I dig movies. Like a cocaine fiend who doesn't care about the plight of the Columbian people, gimme some Matrix and I'll smoke it. Inasmuch as that isn't a grownup response, I assure you I am fully grown. I have had years to come to my own conclusions on this and have flopped 180 degrees to my current state of thinking.

    Yes, it does. I already spend a large chunk of my income on movies in the theater and at home, to say nothing of my electronics to view them how I like to. I am _the_ target audience: I have disposable income and I dig movies. THAT AUDIENCE IS MOVING ON. Not following that market isn't capitalism, it's stupidity.
