  1. Gracenote SUCKS! on Gracenote Defends Its Evolution · · Score: 0, Redundant

They never validate ANY of the entries.. All too many times I go to get the information and rip and realize the track names are wrong and out of order. I thought the whole purpose of these databases was so you don't have to do any work!!

  2. Re:Microsoft still doesn't 'get' it on Microsoft Interested In More Linux Deals · · Score: 1

They can't just strike deals with everonye that distributes linux and add their 'touch' to it. You can't 'buy' Linux. You can have all the companies in your pocket that you want, but at the end of the day, it's still going to be free and maintained by developers from all over.

No, but they can supress it enough to make it irrelevant for awhile.

  3. WHat? on Broadcom's Treaty In the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD War · · Score: 1

  4. Old... on A Concrete Solution To Pollution · · Score: 1

While it's an interesting story, this came out years ago. Or at least something similar. I also believe they invented paint that does the same thing.

  5. HAHAHA!! on Windows Chief Suggests Vista Won't Need Antivirus · · Score: 1

OMG, that is the funniest thing I have read in a long time. Sure, I'd be comfortable with a 7 year old using a PC. How many 7 year olds do you know that browse porn or download illegal music? HAHAHAH!

  8. Hmmm.. book on A Security Guide For Non-Technical Users? · · Score: 1

Interesting. For several years now I wanted to write Internet Security for Dummies. I guess there really IS a need for this book. You think I am kidding, too.

  9. Conspiracy or just OLD? on More Voting Shenanigans in Florida · · Score: 1

I live in Florida. I have yet to use these screens (my voting system are coloring in bubbles like I was in high school). I was here for the CHAD incident. I am not entirely convinced things are fair during the elections but it's quite possible that the issues are mostly with the older retirees down here and they are just freaked out because they don't know what the hell is going on with these machines. Technically uneducated people are naturally going to have issues when something new is introduced like Touch Screen voting, even if it does sound "fool proof"

Levy adds that by the beginning of 2007, all EMI CDs will come with additional material to make them more attractive to the consumer.

Usenet and IRC have long been major distribution routes for "illegal content" on the internet, more technically savvy people probably get content off of the newsgroups and irc each day than have ever gotten it off of bittorrent... faster generally too... bittorrents big bonus is... it's stupid easy, click the link wait a few hours. But you wouldn't know that, would you?

See.. c'mon guys. Start reading from both ends of the spectrum. There is a global balance coming into effect here. Read Tom Friedmans - "The World is Flat". In fact, just the other day on CNN an article stated how the IT sector was growing but it couldn't grow as much as it should have because they CAN'T FIND QUALIFIED PEOPLE. To me, that means there will ALWAYS be enough jobs barring something insane by W.
