    You got that right.. I can't believe how many people are in a "comfort zone" here. All I really care about anymore is to just be happy but I have a hard time doing that when there are so many morons and micro-managers working around me.

    No, I hear ya 100% Luckily I get health benefits through my wife's company. I've been screwed over by investors more than once in a company and I've about had enough. I think things are changing but maybe I am naive. I hope more people start standing up for this bullshit.

    Oh man I could spend all day replying to this article.. I just put in my 2 weeks notice for the same reason.. screw the suits, screw the investors who don't give a flying fuck about their employees, screw them all, they will learn at some point now or later.

    The cable companies have had almost no competition for a long time now. Making it easier for telcos to get into TV and bring us IPTV is a good thing for consumers. Net neutrality will work itself out on its own without regulation. It has been for years now. Let it be.

    Funny too, I've found that if you use TweakUI or PowerTools to change your Program Files to anything other than the default, you can't install IE updates or security fixes. The damn thing seems to be hard coded. Idiots!!

    While I can see the point of this topic, are we talking about typo errors? Those exist everywhere. Unfortunately they are magnified when you are dealing with a SSN or a decimal place in a monetary figure. Microsoft DID come out with Visual Studio Tools for the Office environment that does make their Office tools much more interactive and safer. I happen to be working on an Excel spreadsheet now that hooks up to a web service. Who knew?!?

    No, I agree for the most part, but chances are if they can't afford cable or satellite, they probably aren't going to be renting movies.

    I can see everything moving to P2P or something similar. FTP, by nature, has flaws. I believe it was originally written so the longer you are on a connection, the slower it gets, to prevent bandwidth hogging.
