How do you think Trump survived multiple bankruptcies and bad business decisions and always came out a millionaire?
Simple. He started off a millionaire, and was smart enough to always gamble with Other Peopke's Money.
Trump built a mystique around himself/his brand, and that attracted people that wanted to work with him.
Bankruptcy isn't as bad as you may think it is - the point of bankruptcy is to let the debtor survive to fight another day. Look at Atlantic City casinos - they go broke every year, year after year, yet they generally keep their doors open, keep thousands of workers employed, and provide a stable tax revenue source for the city...
Also, Trump isolates his enterprises - when a Trump University goes bankrupt, that doesn't impact Trump's golf courses - they are all separate, independent businesses.
at least until 2021, at the earliest, when 45 could be expunged from the White House and the mortgage and itemized tax deductions, which he gutted, could be restored.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen - after collecting increased federal taxes from high-tax California, New York, New Jersey and other states, federal lawmakers will drag their feet to give up that revenue stream.
Besides, I think the earliest it could happen would be 2025, but that's a different story.
You know, assuming this issue is as reviled as you believe it is, it could be repealed by veto-proof majorities in the House and Senate.
The issue is not that the GM, Ford, or Chrysler dealers want to fix Teslas, it's that they want to make life miserable for anyone that buys a car from someone like Tesla.
Tesla has showrooms in Texas, and they deliver and service cars in Texas, but they can't sell you a car in-person in Texas.
The big three automakers want to make buying/owning a Tesla difficult, to make their products more appealing.
You obviously don't 'know' Morse code - Too much work.
All they are doing is using an approved tool in a collaborative way, exactly as their teacher showed them. That's much easier than learning "tap code" like prisoners in the Hanoi Hilton:
Kids using Google Docs are simply doing what their parents did when they were in school - pass a page around and everyone took a turn adding to the sheet.
President Trump on Monday threw his support behind efforts to keep the United States permanently on daylight saving time, which took effect Sunday morning. "Making Daylight Saving Time permanent is O.K. with me!" Trump tweeted.
Can we stop acting like everything that spills out of his twitter account is comparable to signed legislation/executive order?
As has been proven with nearly every tweet ever issued by Trump, either as private citizen, candidate, or President, he simply tweets what's on his mind.
Reminds me of the time Bush '41 said he didn't like broccoli, and people acted like they based their eating habits on the personal tastes of POTUS.
So trump was wrong for hiring illegals AND was wrong for firing them.
Amazingly, you are able to hold two conflicting ideas as true at the same time - Trump shouldn't have hired illegals, and trump shouldn't have fired them for being illegal.
How long have you suffered with Trump Derangement Syndrome?
Unfortunately, it is looking more and more likely that Trump will win a 2nd term.
No, iâ(TM)m quite certain that a victor will emerge unscathed from this 24+ candidate thunderdome Democrat primary and all democrats will rally behind the old, white candidate that emerges. Democrats are so screwed, they run a serious risk of losing yet another easy election against Trump.
According to your well-reasoned, clearly articulated post:
All illegal drugs come thru legal ports of entry. Right, the cartels think it's easiest to send containers of drugs into the hands of customs and border patrol agents than to, say, loadvit on a boat and have cigarette boats go off-shore and get the drugs to bring it in.
(Did it ever occur to you that the drugs are found at the ports of entry because that's where we have agents looking? If we had a consistent presence along the border and tracked every capture, then we could say how the drugs are coming across, until then, no. Your claim is that "we find the bulk of illegal drug shipments where we stationed the most agents and look the hardest. We've never found drug shipments anywhere we didn't look.)
Everyone that crosses the border is a refugee, and as a refugee they proceed to the proper border crossing/entry point and turn themselves over to authorities. No one ever tried to sneak across the border.
Walls work, I'm old enough to remember when it was ungodly expensive to insure a 4x4 in San Diego because they were being stolen off the streets then driven overland across the border far away from the legal entry point.
80%+ of voters don't know what net neutrality is - everyone you speak to says something different - I'd love to know how pollsters that got 80%+ of voters to support NN defined it "rules to treat all traffic fairly"? "Providers can't force you to pay a surcharge for certain traffic?" "No traffic will be zero-rated (free)?" "Service can't pay for better service?"
Itâ(TM)s a power Presidentâ(TM)s have but never used, now that the genie is out of the bottle, do you really imagine a President Kamala Harris or Cory Booker will say âoeyeah, I could invoke a national emergency and fix [global wrming|gun violence|medicare for all|college debt|opiod crisis] continue but since Trump didnâ(TM)t build the wall congress refused to fund, my hands are tied.â
And remember, it was the Supreme Court that upheld the Obamacare âoetaxâ despite democrats calling it a âoefineâ in the bill. (SCOTUS apparently knewwhat they meant)
Interviewer: do you have any properties or projects in Russia?
Trump: no, all around the world but none in Russia
Cohen testimony indicates trump was trying to negotiate a deal unsuccessfully.
The Cohen testimony is viewed by author as PROOF that Trump lied!
In fact, negotiating to start a project is very different than having a project in a foreign country, but with a little bit of TDS negotiating equals ownership.
Read your link again, it isnâ(TM)t the slam-dunk piece you think it is.
Having a back-channel with Russia was vital in defusing the Cuban Missle Crisis, but since that occurred before most slashdot terms were born they donâ(TM)t know about it.

When approval must be unanimous, any one of the approves can make or break the deal.
Could the deal have gone forward without her approval/support? Doubtful.
When HRC was on a trajectory to the Oval Office her houndation took in huge amounts of donations, as soon as she lost the election donations all but stopped. Coincidence?
We know that her scheduler made notes of major foundation donors on her daily schedule as (fob, friends of bill) - why would donations stop if not connected to her work? The mission of the foundation never changed. Why note FOB on calendar if it didnâ(TM)t get the visitor special access?
Now that this âtacticâ(TM) has been discussed, a Democrat administration will use it to address the national crisis of gun violence, medical care for all, andclimate issues GUARANTEED. Do you imaginetheDemocrat bade will letthose problems persist knowing theirs an easy way to address the issue with the stroke of a presidential pen?
"The agency has not used the system in months, and the Trump administration might not ask Congress to renew its legal authority, which is set to expire at the end of the year, according to the aide, Luke Murry, the House minority leader's national security adviser," reports The New York Times.

Of course, that there are countless numbers of poor people that go out and look for free food in the ocean has no bearing at all on the fish population - nope, it's because of warmer weather.

Is that really 'gigantic'? Hyperbole much?

Sometimes a parent needs to punish their child...
The New Deal was essentially a socialist policy and it pulled us out of the Great Depression when the prior solutions had been failing.
I'm Interested in why it took the US so much longer to pull ourselves out of the Great Depression compared to every other country?
Odd that SF had to hire a team of workers to specifically address what you refer to as a minor problem...
It has to get thru the GOP-controlled Senate before Trump becomes a consideration.
It will never get to Trump's desk to sign/veto.
That's amazing!
