Pff, that's obviously because geeks/pirates have so many more installations than the average person.
I'd probably count for four, but if it counts as a new installation each time you format, than more than double that. (No more now though, I've got a Mac. 3) I'd assume it's the same for many users here.
Even while in the mysterious future, it took a few minutes of lag for my sign-up to work. I bet they'll have to restrict registration soon, so get in while you have the chance!
I don't care what the reason is, a feature like this is a good thing. I've been wanting something like this for a while. I'm caution when using my Nano, but sometimes when I'm distracted I might turn it up to dangerous levels. I've already patched my iPod and set this, and I'm very happy with how it works. Younger children may not realize the risk, so the parental lock feature is very useful as well.
And no, not first post.

"Take it from someone who knows..." from personal experience? You suck too?
Isn't this a step in the wrong direction? If you've already got Mac hardware, then you're trying to get away from Microsoft. Why use M$ software on more expensive Mac hardware? Why use M$ software at all?
The article doesn't mention if these images will be public domain or not. It would be really awesome if they were. At present, Google Moon is pretty damn low-res (I know it was created as a joke, but still), being able to zoom in and out of high-resolution pictures of the moon would be really cool.
True. If it's so efficient at finding different variations of the virus, doesn't it seem likely that it may not be specific enough in what it targets and do undeeded damage to subjects?
People have been citing the McDonalds coffee lawsuit since it happened as an example of stupid lawsuits, and I don't know how many times I've had to point this out to people: McDonalds' had been very negligent about the way they delt with their coffee. http://lawandhelp.com/q298-2.htm has a list of facts about the case which you would be well-advised to read, including that McDonalds keeps their coffee significantly hotter than other restraunts and that they had privately settled more than 700 cases like this in the past, but had taken no action to prevent it happening again.

Yes, but were those services included? I thought it ranked by domain. =\
Who the hell uses Yahoo?
Do you undestand what they're trying to say? Yes? That's more important than sounding professional.

Something like this could be used to check if the content of first posts is related to the story or not. ;-P
The outcome is that he went back to Pine, though he thought Gmail was the best webmail he's every tried.
It can be used anywhere, without needing to install anything. I like some IMAP clients, but this is why I chose Gmail over them.

This "article" is a duplicate thread on the Vonage Forum. The original thread has much more information.

What response do you expect form Slashdot members?
Do you have a source for that information, or are you just looking for mod points? =P

Google's beta products do a little better than this, no?

And how would this help you with your inabbility to locate them?
It wouldn't, that's how.
And what do you like, Troll? 50 Cent?
Then this is big news, isn't it?
That's from Amazon? Where? I look through the listing of all their albums and couldn't find it.
