    Lindows the OS is free.. If you want to take advantage of Lindows, you need to PAY for the SERVICES that open Lindows up to a useable product..

    If you get a drive with or without lindows.. its still the same price..

    Linux support and Native port of Doom3
    or
    Shocking linux support and dual boot just to play half life 2...

    Then Screw Halflife 2, Microsoft and ATI, I'll do without any of them easily.. Give me NV, ID and Tux any day..

    I don't want to seem like I'm having a go at you.. but a firewall is only stage 1 of protection.. We consider laptops to be our second level of security risk.. purely because of their portability.. so our site had the laptops covered in the same day we had to make sure all the servers were covered.. Desktops were the last on our list..

    Its the only Linux distro that I could get to work.. every time..
    It is teaching me HEAPS by being very easy to use, and extremly configurable at the same time..
    I can "emerge" a feature or application.. play around with it.. screw it up ... and when I can't fix it, unemerge it and re-emerge it without hurting my system one iota!

    I love the forum and IRC chat guys.. they are soooo friendly and helpfull totally unlike my experiances with the mandrake, redhat etc crowds..

    It's also a freaking EXCELLENT gaming platform :-)

    Just take a look at Opera.
    They've made some huge leaps ahead of most other browsers, and They haven't slowed down yet.. there is more to come.

    Especially in the mouse gestures and multi level browsing.

    Don't loose heart guy.. your view of the world might be dull.. but there are some REALLY good, developing ideas out there.

    This guy went into it with the wrong frame of mind.

    He EXPECTED something for his work!
    If your going to start up something in GPL and release it.. don't EXPECT anything more than a "Hey thats cool" e-mail in return..
    If by some chance a company decides to hire you cause its a good product then GREAT, but don't winge because father christmas forgot you.. jeez

    having said that.. its sad to see it go.. but meh.. what am I going to do about it..?
    Nothing... I used it for two days then dumped it for a better product..

    Got hooked, finished what I could and proceeded to whip out the CC to finish buying it..

    Bastard addictive game it is too.. highly recommended for those that want a deceptivly simple challenge...
