I see its so clear now. Instead of having a civil war over how bad slavery was, the negro's/civil righters of America should have just shuttup and kept slaving? yeap.. that would have got them out of chains much quicker..
oh and whassername Pankhurst shouldn't have chained herself to the gates.. she should have stayed at home, doing dishes and washing clothes only to stop long enough to breed. Yep I can see how that would have let her vote and have basic human rights much quicker..
You dumb bastard. Your writing to geeks, about how they should ignore that feeling inside that says... "Oh, there is something very wrong going on here.." you NEED us to feel that way. and to act on it.. otherwise you might as well give admin/coder jobs to any old idiot off the street... oh wait up.. MS already do that, Damn!
*sigh* I guess I'm a sucker for punishment. Yes I guess my grammar and spelling is a little poor at times, I tend to suffer from "Mind moves faster than fingers" Syndrome. Your grammar is no better, but please note I'm Australian so our rules on Grammar MAY differ to yours. Yes I'm (semi) old Gen/.'er, but this site is NOT a Linux enthusiast site. Its a site for (generally) tech news of different relevance, and the people who are interested in that sort of information, tend to be Linux enthusiasts.. Convince me otherwise and I'll recant.
I was pissed because he asked for WINDOWS based and not specifically LINUX based. I thought of throwing in the packeteer because he never said anything about a plug and play external solution.
And for the record.. I had an idea what ^H^H^H^H meant, I just wanted to be sure, I asked a question and got an answer.. Why should I be ashamed for that?
Listen carefully you anon coward. Find your self a speeding bus, and perform an experiment in kinetics with it.
Point 1 : Nope its not, but its not Linux based either, and he never said he didn't want an external unit. He also never said that it was because he found Linux hard to use, but incase that was the reason I offered an easy solution.
Point 2 : you didn't shoot anything but your own foot, fucknuckle. besides I'd be surprised if you could hit the broadside of a bard with your intellect.
Point 3 : Since when was this a Linux/BSD enthusiast site. This is a site for people who are interested in the less mundane more tech side of life. It just so happens that a great deal of those people are Linux/BSD enthusiast as well. Obviously its a little hard for you to realise this but its an intelligence thing. Go back to surfing stileproject you dweeb.
Point 4 : *sigh* I give up. I remember now the old saying... never argue with a Moron, as they'll beat you down to their level and beat with experience../me out
Can you people not read?? That guy has stated he understands that Linux can do it, BUT HE WANTS A WINDOWS SOLOUTION!!!!
Get that through your dumbarsed bloody zelot minds. I love Linux, I love what it stands for and I love what it can do for me. But I have specific needs that linux cannot (easily) do. Also I'm better at troubleshooting win2k than I am at ANY linux disto. This guy has a requirement for a NON LINUX soloution. DONT FUCKIN TELL HIM TO FORMAT C:!!!
grrrr/rant over And BTW, Although I don't have a windows soloution for you, what about the packeteer Packetshapers? They're and external unit, and VERY easy to configure, also if the power goes out they may stop shaping but will continue to feed.
Is that when you break the human body's functions down to the simplest forms, you find that its all "energy"...
You feed food into the body, and the body converts it to energy.
Now this energy can be used as fat deposits or as the traditional term of energy which lets you run a long way or lift heavy monitors.
If you eat N amount of energy but only use X amount ( N being more than X ) then Y is left to be stored for later.
Its really a very simple equasion.
burn more than you eat and ye shall store less fat
No diet in the world is going to help you unless you remember that basic fact.
Then I cannot stress to you how good this book really is: The Prcatice of System and Network Administration. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos /ASIN/0201702711/ qid%3D1024438718/ref%3Dsr_11_0_1/102-1517140-58505 52
Its is quite simply the most valuable book a sys admin could own.
I find that I like to sign up for things and hope.. that some time in the future I find time to trial it. Unfortunatly unless you want to send someone over to help with my work load.. you can't do anything about it.
Is the only enterprise (and home use) e-mail client worth using if you handle that many e-mails. And as to it comming back to bite you... Don't do anything bad.. Be open honest and totally transparent in all your business dealings.. then nothing can come back and bite you. :-)
maybe not, but giving them an unsupervised area for masses of the little buggers to mill around in isn't the wisest idea around anyway.
I agree with the curfew, but thats all.
My workmates are some of my better more reliable friends that I have...
But then again, my workplace is a place that we enjoy a great deal (most of the time).
I really don't see what "Greg Cantori" problem is, and I would suspect that he isn't enjoying his work, therefore he should move along until he finds a place where he is happy. Your job is just about money, its about quality of life.
Then again, you don't really need to be mates with your fellow drones, to enjoy your job either (but it helps).
I want one now!
If I could I'd buy one tomorrow, The only thing they're missing is the ability to hook an ethernet connector to it.
With one of them it would be an invaluble network / help desk tool on my network.
If it runs JAVA then I can use notesbuddy (Have a look around IBM Alphaworks) to get my e-mail!! WooHoo! Lotus Notes on a PDA yayayay!
Windows XP is like the windows ME OS..
Just some way of generating revinue while they work on the bigger better OS..
Win ME is the greatest abortion of an OS since win 95
2000 is the best thing MS has brought out, and might be the only halfway decent OS they do produce.
The only component of XP that looks like a decent leap in tech is office XP... and that only JUST makes the mark..
Face it people, we're stuck with our own stupid mistakes. And we'll suffer for it for the next 10 years (Till the old Tuxedo warrior reclaims the barren wasteland that is the desktop)
Can anyone comnirm the rumour about the attack on Camp David?

With IBM's stand on Linux, and HP's new stance on Linux, This can only mean that Linux is about to get a SHITload of support from where it needs it most, @ the OEM...
Now couple that with the new info on Intel and AMD poking their nose around the Linux stands... this can only mean one thing, The Linux Revoloution is on its way!
I see its so clear now.

Try this.
20% of TCP trafic is the "reply" stream.
so if you cut 20% of the reply you slow the downstream..
Make any more sense?
no.. really, what the hell is ^H^H^H^H ????
This is not going to make you get payed less, or work harder.
Its a tool that will help you work smarter!
Like any other tool, how usefull it is to your is up to YOU.

Why can't the world just grab a clue and use LED's instead... MUCH cheaper, MUCH tougher and MUCH better.

Give your servers Hex/IP type names..
IE (00 through to 99) XX - (aa through to jj) XX - (short description like, Fil or Mai or App or Web etc) - fil
so you end up with 01acfil (server 1 room/section/building/state ac and file server) or 45gaweb (server 45 state ga web server)
Just make sure your good at documentation. *grin*

Why not use LindOS instead?? It looks and sounds spiffy, and there is no way in hell M$ could bitch about it...
And the idea of running a Notes client NATIVELY in a Linux OS excites me beyond normal measures of decency... GO LINDOWSOS!!

I disagree.
I've been sys-admin'ing for long enough to want out. But I still enjoy UF and all the "in" or "out" jokes that go with it.
Only a buck for each of course... I am an aussie after all ;-)
