I started studying Japanese in 6th grade and studied it all the way through my junior year of college. It's a challenging language (well, writing/remembering kanji was always the hardest part for me) and I think you will find it is rewarding for her. I was probably pretty similar to her, I was not a genius but generally considered above average, and found school a breeze. When I started studying Japanese seriously in the 8th grade, I had finally found something that continually challenged me both inside and outside the classroom.
I guess my point is that I was just floating along until I started studying Japanese. It really changed my teenage and college years quite a bit. I went to Japan twice during and after high school and took 6 credit Japanese courses at UW-Madison during college. I even ended up with an East Asian Studies major along with my Computer Science major, though I'm not using it now.
Of course you can, and I was exaggerating, but it would be nice to have an equal share at all times. Plus, Blockbuster is rather bad at sending the movie at the top of the queue, even if it is "Available."
My wife and I still have unlimited, I'm not sure if we're just grandfathered in or what, but I think we pay a dollar or two more than the normal 2 at a time account any way. There may still be a way to get it. If you watch a LOT it's worth looking into.
If you have a large queue, then when viewing the full queue in Firefox it is pretty slow. Way too much AJAX going on. But I'm not even sure if they have full screen movies on their site, at least the default has always been widescreen for me. And I haven't seen a full screen movie in the store in years either.
Profiles is the only reason I would have switched from Blockbuster to Netflix. Blockbuster was great for my wife and I because we could return movies to the store and get more movies for free (my wife watches a lot of stuff on the days she has off). But we're moving away from any nearby Blockbuster stores this week so I was seriously considering switching to Netflix. I would love it if my wife and I each had our own queue. Then we wouldn't get 10 romantic comedies in a row or 10 action movies. Ah well.
That was epic and seriously great advice. Since I started writing, I've also started examining the ways plot and gameplay is introduced in a game, specifically within the game's first hour (see sig). It has really made me think hard about what works and doesn't and how developing your game quickly and efficiently is the key to success.
Honestly, thanks for the write up, it was awesome.
Okay, I'm almost going to definitely buy this. I've been writing a video game script now for almost three years and my biggest hurdle is simply how to format it so that the story is rigid enough to be followed by other people but yet allow for enough interactivity that it is still a video game. This challenge has basically "frozen" my script for the last two years because I'm afraid of writing so much and having to go back later to figure it out.
I'm really bothered by how EA bungled this PC release so much. Honestly, Mass Effect was awesome on the Xbox 360. There were some glaring issues but from all accounts it seems most were fixed for the PC release. But of course, in between the 360 and PC releases, EA comes along and injects their Mass Stupidity. This seems like a game that would play just as great on the PC as it did on the Xbox, but how can you even compare when you can't even play the game?
I'm at 150MB with seven tabs which is fine with me. The real kicker is that Firefox has been running for at least a week now. FF2 would have slowly bloated to 400MB right about now and I would have been restarting it. I don't mind that it's using 20MB per tab as long as it's using it wisely and intelligently (for what it's worth I have 2GB at work). It has a lot of info in memory so everything is very snappy. I can reopen up to 10 closed tabs, go back in 15 pages in history on a tab that has been open since FF2 (and it has history from then too), and heck, I even like the so-called Awesome Bar. Typing just one word from the title or url has helped me out tremendously.
Plus? You have to consider this - does China get into wars? No... they're NOT that stupid! What's the point of history when you only study the last few years? China has been in many, many wars. Like you said, the Chinese have a great culture spanning over 5,000 years. Wars are part of this culture and history just as much as anything else.
I had not heard of the Aeron before but it's almost like this Herman Miller himself entered the topic and simultaneously slashvertised his chair with his many sock puppets all at once. Amazing.
It's not like they sent you to Australia and you arrived the next day by jet. It was a very long, dangerous, and generally crowded voyage that took weeks. I would highly recommend reading The Potato Factory by Bryce Courtenay for a fictional telling of this. Great book.
They all work, but it's actually recommended you don't use Filterset.g. I used to use it but switched to EasyList about a year ago when I read the developer's comments on it.
I did walk outside in Wisconsin in February. It was called going to school and I would sometimes have to walk 20 minutes across campus or more if I was going somewhere else. I never thought it was that bad. But I wasn't there this last year where they also got dumped on by 100 inches of snow at Madison.
That was a long way to say "get off my lawn." But still interesting, don't get me wrong.

I have no idea either, I'm just writing because I like video games and thought I had a good idea. :)
Some decent parody screenshots in the vein of Phriday can be found at Rock, Paper, Shotgun.

My favorite is the Zork one.

Hey, maybe they were just placeholders until they got around to hiring artists, and then forgot. Happens all the time, man!
Yes, but Microsoft gets to say they sold a copy of Vista too, padding their sales charts.

I'm sure this has been posted a million times but I just finished downloading it from:

Here's to the guy who scared the crap out of me while simultaneously inspiring me in so many ways as a child.
Nah, still just 6 times 8.
And now he's modded me troll! What must I do to redeem myself, Herman?

Either that, or the chair is really that good.

Hear hear, I don't have a candidate this election, again. It seems to be becoming a trend.
That's not from the article, that's from Tobias Funke's book, The Man Inside Me.
