Well your going to have to wait for games such as bluedragon from a developer called Mistwalker. These are the guys that were producing the old games you remember. Dont you wonder why the games seem different after FF9? Its because its not the same team. Sadly the mistwalker games wont come on ps3, so i'll never have a chance of playing them.

Japanese buyers dont like a console not made in japan because the games that are developed for them usually suck (for there market atleast). Take a look at the xbox and try to pick out a few titles that a japanese gamer would like to play, there arnt many. This is why the japanese dont really care about the x360, even though microsoft are trying there hardest to push into the market, such as lowering the price right at launch. But sadly its the games that really matter, and microsoft hasnt gotten this through there head yet, so until the japanese gamers see some games -they- would want to play, the console is dead in japan.
This is the exact same reason why the playstation has the largest market share in the industry, because they have japanese games. There some of the most innovative, fun to play games to be released on any platform and they usually end up on either nintendo or sony's console, not microsofts.
I dont understand why people constantly want to put the gaming industry in a seperate category for entertainment. AO games probably shouldnt be sold in stores, i mean, do you walk into your local suncoast video store expecting to see "Ass Parade 55"?
I will agree however that the real problem is that the AO rating isnt deserved for the most titles that its given to. GTA:SA even with the 'sex scene' (that didnt even show nudity) doesnt require an AO rating. Games with topless nudity or even sometimes full frontal nudity shouldnt require an AO rating, this isnt porn, its nudity. You dont see blockbuster not selling rated R movies with nudity in them do you?
I think the only solution, and the ESRB needs to really think about, is changing the Mature and AO rating into something different, maybe even splitting them into three or four categories or maybe even having both ratings pulled into one rating.
I'll say this again, excessive blood and nudity do not need an AO rating. Hardcore sex is really the only thing i would even consider giving an AO rating too, and these games dont belong in game stores anyway.

This is a great idea, it would help with drunk drivers, crimes, and speeding. If you dont have anything to hide you really shouldnt be against it. If they would actually show anime thats new, and not 5 years old, and dubbed, then they would get alot more people watching it. I cannot afford 20 dollars a dvd for 3-4 episodes, most people cant and ADV doesnt need to charge that much for them. It seems that the industry is heading for a full on collision with a brick wall. I've noticed that with just about every big movie, there is a game that is being released alongside it. With every big franchise, there will always be a sequal, and sadly they are always better than the first, but never offer anything new. So your left with a happy feeling, but not the same feeling as you would when you play something new.
Take a look at shadow of the collosus or katamari demancy. Should there of been a huge uproar over these games? Yes, because there great games. But its sad how MUCH there adored just because there different.
Even a more sad affair is that the large companies seem to want to bring in more of an audience, to rake in more money, making gaming more mainstream. The mainstream gaming culture is whats bringing gaming to a hault. Sadly its the samething that happened in the 80's, its just a matter of time.
ADV has to be one of the worst business's i have ever come across. It seems to want to shut down the fansubbing industry just because it takes alittle bit of money away from them. I dont understand how they can charge nearly 10-20 dollars for a few episodes while those episodes aired just a while back in japan on television for FREE. I'm sorry if i cant afford 150 dollars to be able to watch an entire season of an anime, but i cant..so i'm sticking to fansubbing untill they can charge a normal price for an entire season, like every other show on american television.
Heres an easy way to clean up the internet. Force everyone to backup there webpages and Data, give them a few months to do so. Keep there information however, so they can easilly log in and re-do there websites. Then massively delete every single site on the internet. It would need the coloboration between just about every web-host out there, but it would surely clean up the sites that are never updated, get rid of all the trash, and force people to re-update there sites.
Of course people could re-submit there web trash, but it could be monitored with some effort. I of course know that this could pretty much never happen, but its a dream. ^_^
Maybe if EA stopped flooding the industry with constant sports titles, sequals, then people would have a chance to buy other, more original titles. Of course EA isnt the only company to blame here, but honestly there the only company that i know of that constantly floods the market with rehashed games.
Uhh...the japanese gamer market is HUGE and is just as important as the american market if not more than important. The japanese market is very detrimental to microsoft's market share if they cant get into that market. You cant just leave out a major portion of the gaming community or your profits are going to plummet. Its one of the main reasons why the xbox only had a 20+% market share, they had no one in japan buying there system, while sony had everyone from japan to america to europe buying there system.

I honestly dont understand why it is not the 'cool' thing to boycot sony and bash every single one of there divisions. Its not like there other departments were responsible for the crap that happened with there audio cd's. They were just trying to keep people from copying there music and sharing it with other people. They just did it in the wrong way.
But back to the subject, this article relies on ALOT of occurrences that probably wont happen. The first has to be that microsoft would lower the price of the console within the next 6-12 months. This really wouldnt be a good idea, not even to steal console sales away from sony. Why? because a years time does not give the components enough time to lower in price. Thus if they reduce the price on there console even more, they'll be giving consoles away, probably not even enough to get there money back in games. Though microsoft has alot of money, its highly doubtfull that they would continually waste it away on a failed project (Though..they -are- doing that right now on Msn Tv 2).
Secondly, i dont think Halo 3 will be ready by the time the playstation 3 is announced. Not only is it going to take longer for bungie to program for the new console but the graphical capability of the x360 means they need to spend more time on textures and whatnot. Even if it is released by the time the ps3 is launched, i dont really think that it will be such a big system seller. Alot of people already have a 360 for one thing, from buying it at launch to the free giveaways to buying one in the future. People arnt going to wait for Halo 3 to be released to buy a 360.
Finally, it points out that Sony will have to stand against the Revolution before/around its launch time. Even if nintendo has it out by the time the ps3 is released, there are many many people who are skeptical about the systems remote and how well third party developers are goign to adapt to the console. If anything it will be the console people buy alongside there ps3 and x360. Assuming that the console is cheap enough.

Yea, but in 2-3 years most people will own an HDTV. So if the x360 has to fake 720p (a lower resolution than 1080i) now, what will happen in 2-3 years? Will games constantly be faking HD so they can make the resolution at a decent framerate?
