Did you even care to watch the Sony demo from E3 of Warhawk or are you just a Sony PR troll? It was funny as hell watching them play that game (not to mention all the other gimicks they rolled out after saying they will resort to gimicks). They were jerking the controler around like crazy and were haveing a fairly hard time with it. Not to mention when I went looking for it on the Sony floorspace at the convention it was mysteriously unavailable for play. Thier acceleromiter is the gimick here (without any force feedback btw). I had the Wii controler in hand and it was just damn fun to play with and very responsive (which does have force feedback).

Only games I could be missing is a few obscure Japanese games, but thats it. You may have been thinking of the games in mb form which they were marketing a cart based games as back then, but still your computations would be off. 32MB Perfect Dark = 8*32=256mb

Please do a little "research" in the future. Just because journalists don't do that anymore doesn't mean we don't need to. The Wii will come with 512MB flashrom and I believe it's also setup for SD cards or similar. The classic download games I think top out at 16MB I think on the N64 so theres quite a bit of room there. When your console doesn't try to be an "everything to everyone" console you don't need 20-60gigs that jacks the price up. Who knows maybe they'll release a "cheap" HD add on for the hardcore. Probably a pipe-dream, but it's Nintendo.

Whats left of the 360s security pretty much keeps people from just writeing custom software at this point. Shouldn't be too much longer before that too is cracked however. Though not likely it'll be as wide open as with the Xbox.

  13. Re:Tricks microsoft on Microsoft Sides With Nintendo Against Sony · · Score: 1

So whats Sony going to "tour" with? Those of us who attended E3 know that:

    A. PS3 is nothing more than a case thats now bigger than the original Xbox (roughly twice the size it was last shown as at CES).
    B. What could maybe considered the PS3 is nothing more than 4U POS rackmount servers because Sony doesn't even have it worked out yet how it'll all go together.
    C. The games shown at E3 are a damn joke.
    D. The acceleromiter is a taked on joke fanboys will love since it means no rumble motor since it's so "last generation."
    E. Look at Sony's booth then look accross the isle to Nintendo's booth. You see the biggest line in E3s history at Nintendo's booth just to play the Wii (went to the other corner of the convention hall) which the booth was also packed just for DS games and Sony's booth was fairly empty. Plus thier line for whatever the hell they had was basically half an hour wait at Sony's booth.
    F. The only good thing about Sony this year was thier afterparty and it was mediocre.

And on a sidenote. If the PS3 DOES launch somehow this year I will be amazed. However it will be plauged with massive problems like heating issues. Which has been thier number one problem outside of getting good yeilds on the cell processors. It takes ALLOT of cooling to keep that many processing units from melting without makeing the system sound like it's takeing off like a jet-engine when it gets turned on. But like it matters. Sony fanboys will defend that console to the bitter end. I would too if I dropped $600 on a console w/o a couple games & controlers.

It's called PAX. E3 is an oportunity to show off to the rest of the industry and get developers published by companies that otherwise would never have a chance to look at thier product efficiently (I actually used to serve as a gopher of sorts one year giving a couple VPs of a publisher for input on what was at E3). Last year Rockstar didn't even have a public presence because of the devolution of E3. Thier booth was fenced off and everything went on inside of a bunch of busses. E3 has been going downhill by the way and the press has had nothing to do with that. Last year almost half the people there were the people I spoke of that had no buisness being there so generaly exibitors, materials and "swag" were not as eaisy to get to since they were usualy swampped with people that belonged on a messageboard asking questions. As such many developers kept stuff off the floors. You personaly sound like someone whos just pissed that E3 was harder to get in this year and couldn't go. Go troll somewhere else AC.

As such, far too much stuff was "behind closed doors" and the quota of "swag" to "tits on legs" was far out of puportion. *shoots Gizmondo and Nokia and evil glare for starting the problem* This year however is a launch year which is going to get each of the three companies in a bit of a war for attention shall we say? 360 didn't launch last year (they showed a few games on G4s) and they are going through a "relaunch" right now because it's doing so badly (there is a market outside the USA). I certainly hope it's as good as the last launch year we had. Guess what'd happen? Products would be very slow to market and end up costing as much as the skimpy $60 warranty more due to the extra BS and you'd still end up with littigation due to some 10% defect thing thats STANDARD.
