The current posters often miss dupes within the same day
I am not sure you can blame the posters, often two people post the same story before either is listed on the site. Even if one is already there, surely it's the editor that's at fault not the poster?
The reason that the past always appear more glorious than the present, is that we're repeating the past and this time we have the experience to see the flaws and are too stubborn to revise the past.
This may be true to a point, but there are some games (Mario, Mario Kart) that I would still play if I could. Yes I was a Nintendo fan.
While there may be bad parts I have forgotten I would still prefer Mario Kart over something Need For Speed Underground.
NFSU is a good game, but the time it takes to finish it is so short.
If you played Mario Brothers and enjoyed it, boot a Linux distro and have a go with SuperTux, it's very close and it's fun.
Ubuntu is probably about where Mandrake was in 2001, they still want to help the home user and there's no pressure to buy a powerpack or membership. Ubuntu even post DVD's out for free, what more could people want?
The other good thing about Ubuntu is the Debian roots, so when someone outgrows their pre-packed distro they have the real Debian to play with.

Everything you say is true. However, we have a lot to gain from gathering precious minerals and raw materials from other planetary bodies, moons, etc. The fact is we are running out of a lot of important resources, many of which could be easily obtained from elsewhere if we only had the means to reach "elsewhere".
Of course it would make much more sense to reduce or remove the need for these minerals and metals.
Well, perhaps they've updated the article, but it certainly says so now:
"Participants were given local client access to the target computer and invited to try their luck."
This has been added since the article was published, and it does make a huge diffence. It's like Microsoft doing a similar test and giving out the TS login details.
Kordestani added that Google was particularly interested in benefiting from the UK's wireless expertise, describing it as "light years ahead of the US"
I don't work for three, but if you have a 3 phone you also get a free PCMCIA card which allows you to hook your laptop into their network. It's limited to 1Gb/month but it's a start.
Restistance is futile!
:-(
It's all starting to come together.
Don't you know by now, you never get the source when it comes to M$.
Can you order without ads, or can you FF through them?

... and this is a bad thing?
Surely releasing a product with a year in it's title in that year is a good thing? What's the point in releasing Office 2007 in 2006?
Must be an MS thing I guess.

You don't need a compressor?
Here in Australia we get to sign a contract and BUY a locked phone as well.
Yes, we have to buy the handset and pay the monthly contract fee, even the calls are expensive.
I don't know how much longer they can get away with it, but it's a PITA!

What, like BBC radio?
Here in Australia we have a system that works, and has been used already.
