Basically the way he proposes to solve things is to periodically "rewind" your body back to a point where you were much less worn out by your metabolism and afterwards you would keep aging naturally but have another 20-30 years of healthy life ahead of you before needing more treatment.

Would just like to point out some misinformation in your post about "some scandinavian countries".
All the scandinavian countries are protestant not to mention highly secular(all three of them, although the nordic countries that are sometimes included, that is iceland, finland and the faeroe islands are protestant as well).

I'd rather live in a world without whatever it may be that humanity actually benefits from copyright than live in a world with copyright and absolutely no personal intergrity left(because that's what's needed to control copyrights).
The moral highground is no longer good enough for artists, programmers and the like. The good of society at large has to come before the few people not being able to do the line of work they want to do.
Now having laws against commercially redistributing someone elses work without permissing is something completely different. At that point you have a transaction of money that can be used as evidence without destroying anyones personal liberty.
Assuming the electric car ever becomes popular you could in theory use this technology for fueling oil power plants where i reckon you would also be able to install said devices (and as such keep recycling all the produced CO2). It would still require a net input of mined coal/oil for it to go around but it would at least only emit water into the atmosphere instead of water *and* CO2.
