Vietnam was Nixon and Ford's war? Just like WWII was Trumans war, and Kosovo was Bush's war. Hahah, man you have no credibility, especially with those links. At least you're a step above those loonies thinking 9/11 was an inside job. So I'll give you that.
what does the cost it took to make a movie have to do with how good or artistic it was? ROI seems to be a better ratio to look at if your looking at it from the perspective of the studio, not the fan.
yeah, how old is this article? It just read a repost of it below since the site was down at the time. It makes no reference at all to Bryan Singer or any of the plot I've read for Superman Returns. The timeline seems to stop in late 2003 or 2004. I guess Singer has been making Superman Returns throughout 2005? Given this horrid tale of the journy of Superman V, if Singer manages to make a great movie (which from what I've seen seems very possible) then they should make a new Oscar category for Best Improvement of a Movie.
they can break. Thats why I use the Xerox Assjet 790. The only copier made especially for your ass. Remember, when copying your ass this holiday season, choose quality, choose the Xerox Assjet 790.
that only works when the significant cost is sunk or overhead . Like writing software or pruducing dvds, where the costs are like their R&D and testing and initial setup. When the significant costs are the actual parts going into each unit, you cannot make up for that cost in volume. Though you can perhaps lessen it with bulk deals with suppliers.
Exactly parent poster. Why would anyone do anything unless there was a profit for them? Why do you go to work? Because you get a profit from your work. Why does that guy down the street open up a small restaurant? Because he wanted to make a profit. Why did atari even start the home console market? To make a profit. Why are you living a house? Because someone thought that they could make a profit if they built a house and sold it to someone like you. Why is making a profit a bad thing? its the reason why anyone does anything. And you make a profit by giving people what they want not by cheating them or giving them bad products. Look at those companies who tried to cheat people, Enron, WorldCom, Arthur Anderson (who didnt even get convicted of doing anything wrong), ect, what kind of profit are they making now? None, they are out of business. Look at Johnson & Johnson in the early 80s. Someone had poisoned a few bottles of Tylenol with cyanide and actually killed people. The company knew that if they ever wanted to make a profit again they had to handle this quick and show the public thier responsibility. They quickly recalled over $100 million worth of tylenol and were honest with the public. Afterwards they gave coupons for $2.50 off of tylenol and lowered prices by 25%. They realized that morality and responsibility and honesty is good business, and they are still around because of that.
Right. It seems obvious that the managers and top brass at Microsoft set a too ambitious launch date and didnt give their engineers and developers time to test and finish the product. Of course this is par for the course in their software, and to an extent, that is reasonable. But not for a gaming system that is entirely developed by them and fails at its one core purpose.
I find that poll odd. I lean to the right a little, I have a many friends who lean farther than I do, I read a few righty blogs, and I really dont recall anyone I know or have read to talk bad about evolution, or to demonize Darwin as/.'ers suggest all of america does. I think everyone is paying too much attention to some small amount of people who actually are the "dumb science-hating" fundamentalists the/. crowd characterize as mainstream right-wing christian americans.
could something like the theorized electromagnetic field be used to augment the Earth's own weakening magnetic field in order to better deflect solar radiation which causes damage to us and theoretically swept the atmosphere away from Mars when it's own magnetic field died due to the death of Mars' geologically active core?
But you may not have meant that as a question for the mythbusters and might have just been asking a question in general.
No blood for cheese! Unless its really good cheese, with some of those gourmet crackers and maybe a little bit of wine.

and what was the deal with Clark fighting Superman? Talk about post-modernism gone awry.
So news for nerds now encompasses random annoymous forum posts?

If you have a cool Superman story to tell, then tell it,
case in point, the Superman comic Red Son
ok, worse sequel, Superman IV or Highlander 2?
in his defense, my internet filter at work blocks nyud.net because it's an anonymizer so I'm grateful he posted the original link.
All I could find was this Wave file of it.

Considering that they lost connection with it and how it still managed to land perhaps they should rename it the Zatoichi probe.

I for one welcome our new NetBSD toaster overlords.
I call prior art!

Have you tried buying a PS2/Gamecube?

Is there any new material in the book? or is it just a compilation of the posts from the livejournal?
Actually I was refering to your post.

seems less like a question for the mythbusters as a question for an electromagnetic physisist.
OSM should have stuck with "Pajamas Media"... there's nothing wrong with that and it pokes reverent fun at those who shrug off bloggers.
Actually, they have.
