Cost. it was true the diesel used to cost a lot more the gas to fill up. Also many still think that diesel is dirty and smelly (sulfur). Plus all the black exhaust. This is no longer the case. No one is making the effort to show this to the population.

Why? Politics and greed is my guess. There is more money to be made by keeping the gasoline as the main fuel. Also converting a diesel engine to biodiesel is not hard. It usually involves changing the fuel lines. Switching a gasoline engine to biodiesel a lot harder if at all. Even the older gasoline engines do not like ethanol in the fuel either. Not only do they get worse mileage, but the ethanol actually eats away the rubber seals in the engine fuel system.

A big problem with climate change science is there is a lot of money to be made by saying global warming is a man made fact. Smaller facts like the average temperature of Siberia was 160 degrees F 60 million years ago get over looked. In the past this planet has been hotter then it is now and cooler then it is now.

If this is all an attempt to cut global pollution, fine that is a good thing. But call it that. Using the scare tactic of global warming to do it is wrong.

Most managers are not on call. This sounds like his manager is delegating roles out to people so he can 'manage' better. Or why work hard your self when you can get someone else to do it for you. I would go over that managers head ad see what really is going on. Losing your 3 day week ends is going to suck. But working 5 days and being on call the other 2 for every week sounds wrong. Rotating on call weekends fine. Every weekend, sound like they are trying to get you to quit.

Does this new manager see you as a threat? This could be his (her?) way of getting you to quit. You quitting is better then them firing you. I would talk to your manager's boss to see what is going on. Your manager might be trying to get rid of you.

There are a few search online. Ink jets for less, 123 ink jets and others. But if going that route, look at the replacement ink before you get a printer. The replacement cartridges do not work with every printer model. I looked at the printers and replacement ink before choosing a printer to get. That way I knew I could get the cheaper ink for the printer. I have been getting 5 black ink cartridges and 3 of each color (mine takes a separate cartridge for each color) for $50. A lot better then the $64 ($16 per cartridge) I would be paying for the OEM ones.

The starter or even the regular ink, once in the printer, the countdown has started. In a year the ink will be 'out' according to the printer software (well HP and Epson anyway I cannot say for others). The printer knows it has 'old' ink and tells you it cannot print. I used a two year old still in the air tight package cartridge, and the printer still said the cartridge was empty. I can feel and see the cartridge is full, but it still would not work.

Ink jet printers are using the razer blade method of generating profits. The printer is cheap since all the profits are in the ink.
