If your key is locked, you can contact support to get it reset. I believe you are limited to installing on 2 different PCs you own. Thou I am not sure exactly what determines it.
If I want to play the game I will still buy it. I will just have to also get the hacked version. I can even imagine there will be an underground server emulator so you can get the whole experience of downloading other players' content.
Maybe for the unrefined masses they do. As for me, I have been burned a few times before, so now I know that good graphics can't cover for crappy gameplay. When I look for a game, I try to get a demo and reviewes first. Looking on the box, as fascinating as it is, should be the last thing a person does.
What about vandalism? What happens when someone takes a key to this car or a box cutter? They open up your fabric and go to town on the inside of your vehicle.
I know we have come a long way with the internet, but I'm sure it still happens that something sent between 2 locations withing the country crosses international boarders. Would they then monitor those emails?
I do not see any super major advances happening anytime soon. One can only hope the environmental movement takes root in American society soon to stop people from swapping gadgets that can last for 10 years every year. That would reduce the associated pollution with current gadget frenzy, but at the same time slow the adaptation by general public of the next generation devices. You can't look at 12 years from now as being 12 generations of new devices, leading up to some miracle gadget that plugs into your ass and runs on your refuse (optional adapter for Politicians that plugs into their mouth instead).
I will be impressed when someone puts out an expansion that takes levels away instead of tacking more on. This DeathKnight thing smells a lot like Jedi. And by smells I mean stinks.
Ultima Online was PURE genius. It was simple, not overdone, but at the same time it had a degree of freedom not found anywhere else. Before EA got it's flighty talons on it, the game was pure magic. I started playing in 1999, and the game just had a huge appeal to me right away. And the worst thing is that since it was my first graphical MMO, I expected it not to be a unique experience. Since then I have jumped from game to game, hoping to find another game like it. I have been disappointed at every turn. My only fear is that I will never again see such a game.
Unfortunately it is TOO effective. As a result, Americans spend way more money than they should. People stoped making informed purchases, they just buy the product of whoever has the most effective ad. This translates 100% into politics. The public no longer care about budget deficits, nor do they care about the candidate's stance on all issues. They are more likely to get behind a candidate with the best ads.
Polititians are just trying to look like they are doing something.... about something... to justify their existance and pay. Of course the truth is they hardly do a thing, especially at State assembly level.
Overall the impact of this will be limited. I doubt the prisons will become crowded with GameStop clerks, unlike the excessive drug laws that do not do their job, just fill up all the prisons in New York.
Just because WoW has something, doesn't mean it's a desirable feature! Also Combat log is necessary to debugging your failure, I admit, but it does not have to be IN-YOUR-FACE. In WoW I can see damage on my screen, I do not fancy to find out weather that is the case in LOTR. But since it's Turbine, I will guess no.
But I realized they are all foul mouthed youngsters (what a shock) so I built this box and now I live in it....
Seriously people, what the hell do you expect? This is the internet.
One can only hope EA dies a brutal death at the hands of the stock market. I take this as a sign of things to come.
I'm also waiting for Spore, it is the one game I am actually looking forward to. I knew the usual EA shenanigans would get in the way.

"Let's paint the bomb" Dear lord, that is sure to kill everyone!

It seems like just a lightening rod for trolls and self-righteous tard trolls. Whya re these comments marked interestign and insightful?

Good luck explaining to Grandma Nana why you want to play as a woman.
Why is your mount so small? It's a Toyota.

So even with whips, EA is unable to make their devs work past the 100 hour/week mark. For shame...

I can continue telling myself "I don't have a problem" with a peace of mind!
So these Sims you speak of, they come from the future, eh? Somewhere around the year 2499 I presume. Can they also enjoy Duke Nukem Forever?
But that would mean they were serious about fixing the problem!

for EA to botch this up...
