Just like how Macrovision in DVD players has gone away? Run out to Best Buy, Circuit City, Sears, etc and buy a DVD player that doesn't have Macrovision. Go ahead, try.
Oh wow! I mean Speedpass is so amazing! It's so hard and time consuming to take out my wallet, get out my credit card card, swipe it and put it back in my wallet and into my pocket. This could save me upwards of *5* seconds a week! Just think of time saved over a year! The possibilities are endless!
"Jason could be mugged, his phone taken away from him. If he had told mommy where he was and where he was going, it would be easier to find Jason than chasing the cellphone which the mugger probably tossed into a trash bin some random location."
It's better than not have any tracking at all. The next generation (which is already here anyhow) will have GPS watches that can be tracked and they send out an alert if cut or taken off.
And the stuff about bad parenting is about the biggest load of BS I have read in a long time. IF you stop or cutback communication because of a gaddamn GPS tracked hunk of plastic you have much bigger issues to fix and really need some professional help in your house.
This is exactly why I pay all (and I mean all) of our bills online now through our bank. The couple of bucks fee to do so is well worth the non-aggrivation of sending in bills via postal mail only to have them be 'late' or somehow get lost.
I know exactly where you are coming from. I had about the same problem, but laptop would not charge the battery. I went through 3 power adapters and sending the laptop to Dell once before they finally had to replace it (even sending it to Dell didn't work - it was returned broken). You can guess how many hours I was on hold with tech support. Luckily, after the first couple of times I was transferred every time I called to a call center in the US. The only bad part is this call center uses some kind of idiotic voice over IP system. The delays were horrible!

We surrender! We drop all our lawsuits, please relist us!
Ok god! Lemme haveit!
"Would I be sued if I told a company manufacturing bicycles that their products are not solid enough, and then can be dangerous ? Probably not."
Probably not, no. But you could easily get a lawyer to get someone to fake an accident and sue the bicycle manufacturer for damages.
Yeah, because a day later it's no longer news and irrelevant. Right?
Until MSFT, the RIAA, MPAA etc all get a law passed requiring DRM in all bios hardware.
Don't think it can be done? Try going to Wal Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City etc and see if you can buy a DVD player that doesn't have Macrovision in it.

I had not read anything on this until after a friend emailed me the photo. http://www.krebs2003.com/adobe%20test%20image.zip
.psd (it's in .jpg) then opened it fine in PhotoshopCS. Perfect conversion.
Sure enough to my surprise, it didn't work and gave the error.
So I opened it in ACDSee (my default image browser), saved as a

Easy, to protect the secret sauce on the Big Mac!
It will end when lawyers stop making massive amounts of money. (Ie, never).

Does it have a slot to put in a 802.11x wireless adapter? If not, don't want it.
Try IDSL (ISDN over DSL basically). It can go to like 150000 ft. I had it for a year, 128/128 is a blessing from dial up.
What a great TOS! So how many of the tens of users do they have now?
Should include this link here on DSLReports:

Speedpass just seems stupid to me. It takes me a grand total of 4 or 5 seconds to take my credit card out of my wallet and run it through the slider.
As opposed to 1 second of brushing it against the speedpass pad.
So I save a few seconds. Big whoop?
You got that right. If he had named it 'Internet Streaming Airship' I bet he would have gotten a grant from the Government to make it!
What!? Setting off napalm and fuel-air detonations are criminal acts? Get out!
Standard response to your standard response.
Then innocent web sites that have DDOSed by fake spam will bitch and cry and finally lawsuits will eventually hit spammers from the massive outcry.

Why did you feel the need to post as Anonymous Coward?

"Other people in other states have done this with Jesse James. They want to prove their history. And if history has to change, so be it."
History will remain exactly the same as it was. Only our accounting of it will change.
NASA - just don't pay the $20. Have this guy tow it at owners expense.
"With about 1.5 million units sold, the iPod is the most popular MP3 player in the world..."
Not that I could name actual numbers, but I had thought that honor belongs to Winamp.
