Wouldn't this just blow the fuse? More inconvenient than dangerous. Note that I'm just guessing, it's pretty hard to reach the limit of an extension cord. My band have run pretty much all their amps (with valves), pedals and keyboards off one socket before with no problems, not sure how that compares to a PS3 and a heater.

  17. Re:This is true... to an extent on Vinyl Gets Its Groove Back · · Score: 1

I don't think the "warm" and "nuanced" sound comes from the vinyl itself. I've listened to some of my parents' vinyl and the sound is great but I've also heard more recent vinyl that completely lacks any warmth. Sometimes it doesn't even sound "right". For some reason vocals seem to be a particular problem, they often sound too sibilant or slightly distorted. I think the actual perceived warmth comes from the mixing and mastering, the sound was right before it hit the vinyl.

Good advice. Can I just add the one thing that works for me, might be a good place for other people to start.
Cook your own food. If nothing else this will make sure that you know what's in it. I found that after cooking for a while certain combinations of ingredients tasted healthy (even if I still cannot understand salad). I've also found that I stock up on ingredients rather than actual ready to eat food so I haven't been able to snack, after I week or so I stopped missing it and fell into having food at regular times only. Of course, I still keep some decent chocolate and some nice beer around the place.
Just a thought, not sure if it works for other people.
