Don't worry. England, Tanzania, and Kenya will be US protectorates if Bush has his way. Until then, don't count those attacks as attacks on US soil. I will give you the USS Cole and WTC1 though.

IANAL.
There's a distinction: In your hypothetical case, I would assume you're doing it as a 'work for hire', as an employee of your company and not an individual.
Meanwhile, in all the source code I've looked at I haven't seen "(C) $YEAR $COMPANY", it's always been "(C) $YEAR $NATURAL_PERSON"
In the former case, the legal entity known as $COMPANY is considered to be the developer.
Here in Missouri, state ID cards (officially termed "ND" or "Non-Driving License") are printed on the same templates as drivers' licenses. I'm thinking the parent was referring to drivers' license OR state ID, as the drivers license is probably the most predominant form of ID*
I, too, have only heard about the cons of non-anonymous voting, never any pros to it. If there are no pros to it, that's fine, but if there are, then there needs to be a more open discourse on it.
If non-anon voting is indeed implemented, then here's an idea: Take the person's first name and middle initial, and their identification number (SSN for most people). Make an MD5 of that, and make sure the ID number and name aren't stored in any way, only retained long enough to need to make the md5 of it.
* No empirical evidence to back this up, only first-hand anecdotal.
This is a severe case of the pot callling the kettle black. Poor little convicted monopolist is afraid of losing business. I don't feel the least bit sorry for them.

It's because carparks make governments and businesses money. Open wifi doesn't.

Quoted for truth. Damn. Fucking. Straight. If that were the case only AOL users --
Oh wait, AOL is cliche. If that were the case only Myspace users could hold opinions.
It'd be easier to SHOOT yourself in the foot as opposed to HIT your foot with the gun. Unless you were actually meaning 'Foot, meet bullet."
I'm sorry, 'logic'? What do you think this is? Kuro5hin?

I'd be willing to bet the CT legislature tries the "If it's accessible in this state it's under our jurisdiction" angle.
I must has missed the memo that made telemarketers be counted as human beings.
I'll sum this all up as CRAP.
