Sure they are working to reduce the size of the thing and actually get it 'inside' the laptop... but surely a cell 1/2 or 1/4 of the size will power the laptop for 1/2 or 1/4 of the time.
1/4 of 10 hours is only 2.5hrs, similar to some laptops now, worse than some others.
I'm sure MY laptop could get 10 hours battery life if my battery were that size too...
Sounds like we're still quite a way away from these being useable.
The New Zealand Government plans to have Biofuel make up 5% of all fuel (Diesel and Petrol) by 2008.
This method will be a significant contribution to the target and while the total production will not be 4mil/30,000 times as large* it is thought that it could make up 20% in the future.
Incidently I believe once the percentage of Biofuel in normal fuel goes above ~10% this is when modifications are needed to the vehicle. Below this the vehicle can operate exactly as it is now.
*Another article (http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,3665147a7693, 00.html) has much better information and explains that the high amount of sunlight in Marlborough (where Blenheim is) causes more algae to grow meaning a much larger production is possible. Some other areas will be very useable but others will be uneconomical.

It doesn't matter if the first node is not legit. First, you can deny that you originated the traffic, as you can be relying packets for other Tor nodes. Second, the route changes every 10 minutes.

yeah i posted on the other one earlier today (different time zone here in nz so yes it was today), and was modded down as redundant for saying that this was the problem with slashdot and that the editors obviously didn't have enough time to cope with the amount of stuff they were trying to publish.

Before i say anything, i'm not a fanboy etc, and i've been reading slahdot for quite a while.
I recently started reading digg, and this article is just another example of the difference between the two and the problem with slashdot.
Whoever the editors here are, they clearly don't have enought time to cover everything they are trying to.
