    Well if you have you can deploy your "saved state" production server with enterprise Virtualization solution like ESX server from VMware (before the evil patch that downed your prod server) from US/Europe location using some management software like Akimbi, then you really are not needed to administer your systems. Anyone can baby sit and with virtualization technologies treating servers like some appliances the chances are pretty hot that these jobs too will disappear within 5 years time. So make sure you pick up some other job OR move to India :-)

    Oracle should concentrate on desktop market. Server market is flooded enough and usurping..ahem merging with Redhat might seem like a logical marriage but it's the DESKTOP MARKET that will be the king soon.

    Here's the problem: --People just somehow trust stuff that is on the shelf and costs something. --People are not used to accepting free stuff and see it's relevance in their enviroment as being directly deployable. --Windows is a disease and sysadmins are bunch of retards who just install the Open Source OS and then stop because they have to continue downloading their movies/video's/music/chat , the activity which benifits MS so well The mindset has been set in retarded_state=force mode and it HAS got to change!
