I love Google as much as the next slashdotter, but I have to wonder where they're going with this. Android, the dark fiber, Wifi balloons, etc. It doesn't really tie into advertising.
The problem is that CD prices really only started to fall after Walmart decided to drop them. Changing formats hurts the consumer because we're expected to repurchase all of our media.
I didn't realize that the video card ram counts against the 4Gb. I just built a new duo core with 3Gb and a 8600GTS 512Mb, but still good to know. Thanks!
ooo, that'll leave sore in the morning. I seem to remember that it was the night that buddy A found out that he got into grad school and he was celebrating rather heartily.
Completely OT, but I wanted to suggest Zack & Wiki. I picked it up for $30 from Best Buy and it is GREAT. I actually stopped playing Mario Galaxy in favor of Z&W.
You're forgetting the social aspect of the equation. Booze + friends = hilarity. One of the funniest moments that I can remember is playing Monopoly. 'Friend A' is completely ripped and realizes that 'Friend B' has been collecting money from 'Friend A' for at least an hour from a property that 'Friend A' owns. Never would have happened if we were sober.
Agreed. I'm a pretty competitive person and having a few drinks makes it easier to take a loss. Plus, if you get your buddies to drink more than you, they start getting sloppy.
You're essentially giving them money with the promise of future product. Multiply $10-20 (not sure how much you have to put down for a preorder) by 250k copies and they have a sizable interest free cash advance.
Ahh, so you didn't actually spend your money on it. Understandable then. I just hate the idea of preordering a game that hasn't gone gold yet. I think companies like EB/Gamestop are taking advantage of people.
It warms my heart to hear from an Illinois resident that isn't a complete raving moron. As for the current state of education, you couldn't more accurate when describing them as lazy and corrupt.
An OT, but I thought I'd comment here. My wife and I want to adopt. We're going to have at least one of our own, but we have already decided to adopt one if not two children. Having said that, we will NOT be adopting from within the US. Too many potential legal issues. It's sad that a child from my own country will not have a home (at least not mine) because the law doesn't protect adoptive parents.
I really like my Dish Network DVR. The only thing I would really like is to have the DVR automatically sort season pass shows into folders for easy viewing.
That's odd. My neighbors found out that they payed ~30% more than I do (Dish Network) and they received fewer channels. Now Dish Network has a new customer.
Never played time splitters 2 on the GameCube eh? A friend of mine designed an entire level around screaming monkeys with machine guns. The techno was a nice addition too.
There are plenty of merchants that will not accept a $50 let alone a $100.
Seems your issue was with Vista, because I was able to run it on XP without any issues. Installed, played, enjoyed.
It wasn't bad for what it was. I went in expecting a mediocre game and was pleasantly surprised.
Because it took place on the intertube! Politicians seem to think that cyber-bullying is somehow different from bullying.

I just installed a 8600GTS yesterday. Odd timing considering that I've always used ATI until now.
They said that they were not given specs, but they should be published within a week. Given the 'cartoony' look, I doubt you'll need to upgrade.

Wii Play is also pretty good when you're tanked. The only major issue that I have it's only two player.
None. The current crop (crap works too) will be out of office before that happens.

No, really. Why give them your money before you get the product? Most of the crap that you get for preordering is just that. Crap.
Spore might turn out to be a decent replacement and we'll always have the Phantom.

"and support the ability to adopt"

It could have been something like formula or liquor.
