And yet, I'm the only person who tagged this article "Dollhouse". Come on, people! Star Trek references are old; you have to move with the times if you want to keep your geek license!

    Now if only people would stop mispronouncing that. It's "Kwisatz" like in the video, but then they pronounce "hadurak" when it should be "HaDERach", where the "ach" is pronounced as though in Hebrew, Arabic, or German. It's a guttural "h" rather than a "k".

    Bull, the Palestinian territories are occupied territories that a small but vocal minority of Israelis would like to annex (to their own demise, the idiots). While many consider them a part of "Eretz Yisrael", the old Land of Israel, nobody really considers them Israeli territories in the way of Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, or Be'er-Sheva. The broad assumption is that once the terrorism problem gets solved the Palestinian Arabs will have an independent state in, roughly speaking, those territories.

    I see no reason why the US can't help promote general ideals (freedom of press, etc..) while not commenting on any one leader. I think it is morally correct to pressure Iran into NOT arresting reporters and killing protesters for example.

    The question about anything the USA does in this situation is: will it result in more or fewer protesters and reporters getting arrested or killed?

    Yeah, that was pretty much my point. Old people interpret the lack of activity as safety, and us younger folks interpret it as stifling fun, freedom, and achievement. I grew up in two suburbs; I know the utter ennui of it firsthand.

    I think it is evident that I am quite anti-Ahmadinejad and anti-Mullah and especially anti-Arab when it comes to my ancestral country.

    I'm sorry, normally I'm quite well-informed on ways in which Arab forces smugly try to steal control of the entire Middle East, but what are they up to in Iran?

    I believe Israel has threatened to use military or even nuclear force against Iran if they acquire and threaten the use of nuclear weapons. However, they do not - by word or deed - have any policy or even slight effort to attack or wipe out Iran.

    There is nothing wrong with the suburbs. There nice, relatively safe, quite and not as crowded as a city.

    They're nice, relatively safe, quiet and not as crowded as a city because nothing happens in suburbs -- desirable or undesirable.

    Like all semantics with the implicit assertion of straightforwardness, employing the right-left spectrum is an act of conceptual violence, but from the perspective of ethos, it has both utility and basis.

    Only until you encounter an ethos that doesn't fit the narrow conceptual "chopping off" you've done. Like, for example, the Bastard Nutters Party.
