URL bar with konqueror style commands like 'ggm:' for google maps, 'gg' for google, 'imdb' for imdb...
Firefox started with those commands, then they disappeared. Thankfully I still have my bookmarks from the 1.x era so I still have them. Try looking at the "keyword" feature of bookmarks.
Perhaps one of the good trilogy of books should be filmed. Nobody has to write anything then! My vote would go for the Jedi Academy series for being the first three I read.
Alternatively, go into the "far future" and invent a new revival of the sith.
Do you get that on American DVDs too? DVDs I buy in England have what sounds like an identical 'public safety announcement' brought to us by FACT, the Federation Against Copyright Theft. Fortunately, I haven't seen one on a continental DVD yet.
Mass and weight are related by the accleration due to gravity, g. F = m*g This value varies with position. The Gravitaional constant, G, is a constant. This value is fixed throughout the universe. It can also relate mass and weight through the equation F = G(m1*m2)/(r^2)
vista -noun
1. a view or prospect, esp. one seen through a long, narrow avenue or passage, as between rows of trees or houses.
2. such an avenue or passage, esp. when formally planned.
3. a far-reaching mental view: vistas of the future.
From what I understand of the 'hack' is that they have simply looked (a rather simple comparison) at the discs/players and seen the encryption key and then using a known way to decrypt the content using that key. I don't think they have brute forced anything or reverse engineered. As far as I know the conent would still be secure if those keys weren't known just like SSL connections.
I'm sure, that if car manufacturers could send out patches and fixes through the ether for almost no cost, they would. They could then dismiss, some, lawsuits against them by saying "We're sorry that your wife is dead, but you didn't apply the patch which stopped your bonnet from flying open at 70 on the motorway."
The FAA and the Airline industry do something similar. If there is a small mechanical fault that is the cause of a plane crash, the FAA will specify the amount of time airlines have to fix it based upon the cost of the dead against cost of fixing the fault. As for the shrink-wrap licences on aeroplane seat or tickets, I wouldn't give them any ideas. They may not be legal but I think they'd like to try them out.
As for bug-fix-only releases, I assume you don't mean free patches or upgrades. I would say that Winamp comes pretty close to these. Check out the version history and you will see that in many releases, the number of "Fixed" entries outweigh the "Updated", "New" and "Improved" entries.
Well if you were to give my Grandmother a Windows disc she would just be as baffled by it. I assume the same would happen if you gave her a Mac. For people who have never used any operating system it would be just as difficult for them to understand any OS you could give them.
The Cowon iAudio 6 I bought 3 weeks ago is great. Supports OGG Vorbis and FLAC and was 289 for the 4 GB of space. That is on the steep side but I definately think it was worth it. I may regret it later though as I probably won't be able to come back home at Christmas.
I agree. I swear on every god damn website I can post a comment on. I will even bypass fucking censor scripts with Unicode characters in 'fuck' and 'shit'. Most American sites will fail to censor good old bollocks though.
As fas as I'm concerned the Internet is good for three things:
pr0n
profanity
/.
Not necessarily in that particular order.
That is all.

Why not just use the 11 characters of the URL that identify the video?
Why can't the BBC do that in Britain? It would be much better than their 20 antiques and property shows they broadcast a week.
OMFG! Now I will end up going back to their sites.

Solar Ray 3.0 has already been done. They still couldn't set fire to the boat/sail.
Please upgrade, you are missing 433 lines.

It might be a real word but is used incorrectly here as the link points to a /. story about an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
Sorry, but you fire photon torpedos from warp and proton torpedos from hyperspace.

Doesn't also mean "a sight or view" in English?

Thank the Doctor! I saw it, and it was crap.
Damn. How did I not notice the missing € symbol. That should be €289

The correct way to black out a document.
What's worse if that neither Zonk or the original poster noticed and then corrected the mistake.
Actually, the word hydraulic can refer to any liquid.
I'd rather not gaze on antique women thank you.
Would that be 20, 70 or 300?

I was wondering when I'd read one of these.
