I've been to Broadway at the Beach at Myrtle Beach many times, and have never seen this. I'm sure it was probably because "Magic Wands" don't typically grab my attention, but its nice to see a story involving my favorite beach on/.
I want a database of numbers that I can enter to direct me to an _english-speaking_ human! It's not the automated phone services that bother me, its the human customer service reps who can't speak english (or that have such an accent that it seems as if they don't).
Ever heard of a Least Common Denominator, 'cause thats what it is. Web developers typically write their html for it, because if it renders correctly in IE, it will most likely render correctly in other browsers. Not necessarily the other way around. Actually, on second thought, disregard everything I just said... i have no idea what i'm talking about.
Ballmer: "One, people value their time. Our stuff does more, and they like that."
Yeah, like... crash; whore memory, open backdoors into your pc, implement hidden "features"??
"Two, people value their time, and those [free] things tend to be clunky. Let's say you think you can save $50. And then you go and waste three hours."
Umm... Waste three hours?? Which OS is he referring to??
Ha, my highschool requires us to pay $80 a year to "rent" a laptop that you are required to carry with you at all times at school (and then lug it home for homework). It is a Dell Latitude laptop, and has a very tight group security policy. (And no, it doen't run on linux...) As a matter of fact, our entire county has recently made this change. Oh, and yes, this is a public school.
p.s. i did rtfa, and i do realize this is talking about a university, not a highschool, but i thought i would throw that out there.
Well, before, someone could either steal the physical chip (er, um, TAG) OR clone it wirelessly... but now they have to clone it wirelessly since it is injected. So it eliminates the possibility of stealing it, yielding it slightly more secure.
Really??? Does it support the full alpha channel, or just the same as before?? (i can't download it yet, since i am using my school computer-its very locked down)
This is what they should do: When the software sends out the barcode to each customer, it randomly picks one of 40 or 50 (maybe less) different styles of barcodes (filtering the high-resolution ones for the low-res phones-which would have to be requested by user...maybe on the original text message) and storing the style, along with the number, making it much harder to reproduce the correct style AND number.
That could even be done with a small vb.net program... it'd probably take only a half hour to get a working prototype~
I agree completely. This story is far from neutral and obviously trying to start a flamewar. This story == -1 Troll (or flamebait... not sure~).
And I know, this will most likely be "-1 Troll", but I really am not trying to step on toes. I just think it could have had a more neutral [title/story body]
1. Microsoft allows to small businesses to put content on the domain of the business owners choice. 2. Microsoft still owns the domain, and gets to put all the ads they like on it. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with thousands of customers. 4. Profit for Microsoft.
Apparently that mod came from someone who gave Apple $300 for a functionality compromized mp3 player... But if you would like to mod this post as troll also, you can feel free to go ahead and use up your mod points.
For those who actually spend there money on high-end products, you are the true/. members,
I sure hope so, 'cause its about time those arrogant Ipod users learn that the ipod is not the only high capacity mp3 player out there. Actually, just the other day i was talking to (yes, i do talk to them...)an ipod user, who had never heard of any of the following, which i consider to be the best choices in portable audio: Creative iRiver Samsung
Umm... +5 Funny?? How about troll.

I think I'll be the first to say that I like this idea.
Well, I don't actually... I just thought it would be cool to be the first to say that.

Ha ha ha... "Luke" warm!!
Interesting????? Try flamebait! Have you ever heard of a checksum?? Besides, i could distribute windows code as is, and it would be plenty insecure...
So i believe this brings us back to the whole "Windows is not more insecure, it's just a bigger target" argument...
This is what they should do:

Well then, I am a software developer and use my own software, and I think that there is no questionable policies in my EULA...
wow, That took all of eight seconds of my life~
Wow, i think they definitely could have written the title a little better... At first glance, i thought it was talking about a lawsuit.
