  1. Great news for me on Sony Bringing PSN Pass To All First-Party Games · · Score: 1

Great news for me as I never play online so Sony will be charging me $10 less for every game I buy. Wait, what do you mean I still have to pay full price even if I don't game online, that would be like paying $50 per month for 100 cable channels I never watch. Oh yeah, the consumer gets screwed again. We have to pay for stuff we don't use, and then the compaines get to charge for whatever they want. Does anybody see any fairness in this? -------------------- Like when ISPs chagre you for going over a limit, but nobody ever refunds you when you use 7mb of your 5gig plan. But OH NO, ISPs can't have tiered service, but they can charge you more for 5 or 10 or 20gig more. It's freaking ridiculous. --------- Rule of thumb should be rule of law - if a company can charge you more for getting more, then they should charge you less for getting less. Cable tv, broadband, videogames - I shouldn't have to pay for what I don't use if you are charging people more for what is normal usage.

Oh sure, Clinton got impeached for getting a bj from a fat chick, but "Brownie" destroying New Orleans? Heckuva job there. Mission Accomplished in Iraq. On the bright side, cover-ups will soon be a thing of the past, all the evils of the world exposed and the perpetrators will simply say - "there ya go, do something about it", but nobody can, or will.

I was hopeing the guy was at least making a stand against Obama's killing of Al Awlaki with a predator drone and missiles, but the story is from 3 weeks ago. If they were doing a school "Firefly" play that would have been better yet. Thank you, And just to add to your point. Way back when - I'm thinking 1980's - this guy would have been killed in a car bombing and the news would have reported it as a "random car bombing of unknown origin" but we all would have known it was the CIA. Now, as Obama promised, we have transparency. Unfortunately we all thought - I voted for him - transparency meant he had nothing bad to hide. Turns out, he should be hiding plenty. Bush at least had Colin Powel in front of the UN lieing about WMDs before we killed Saddam. Now it's just - "yeah I defied international law and the Geneva convention and assassinated somebody, what of it?" The truth is out there, for all to see, we don't need Mulder and Fox anymore, the powers that be do as they will, they don't even have the common courtesy to cover it up. We have seen the enemy and the enemy is us. You know the world has truly gone to hell when Ron Paul is the only voice of reason.

Am I really expected to update to 7.0 by going to mozilla.org and downloading a new install? That's never going to happen. I might as well go to Chrome.com. Oh wait, that's been updating automatically in the background. I'ld rather it didn't, but I don't mind a little prodding every now and then like Thunderbird does. Why have a "check for Update" box if they are never going to update but just keep coming out w/ new numbers?

Why does this 7" screen $199 device get SO MUCH comparison to Apple's 10" $499 device, but not 1 iota to it's $229 4" device? Seriously. I mean, if you can compare a Fire to an iPad which is nearly twice as big why not compare it to a Touch which is half as small, but at roughly the same price? Yes, I know the Touch is the bastard forgotten step child of the iPhone, but there is almost nothing it can't do at less than half the price of the iPad. I even make phone calls with it all the time over WiFi. And it has a camera, which also does video, and a mic. I never use it with the headphones b/c I never listen to music with it, just email, browsing and games. But I see no reason to upgrade from a Touch to Fire. And I'm not an Apple fanboi, this is my only Apple device, but it works, and it's relatively inexpensive compared to an iPad. And it fits in all my pockets. I'm not bragging, but I haven't seen anybody mention the $229 iTouch all day, and I think it's a better comparison to a 7" $199 device.

Those are just thrown out there numbers, I'm not doing the math. On a personal note, my 5 year old nephew doesn't have a phone, but he has an iPodTouch, which I'm sure he's using the same way others are using their phones. Kids don't have phones b/c they are phones, kids have phones b/c their parents upgrade to new phones and give their kids the old ones to play with. This tidbit of info might have been relevant to the story. So I guess your right after all, shoddy journalism.

If they spin that off they have a subscription for streaming, but there are lots of other places now to get streaming - Hulu, Hulu +, Amazon Prime, VOD, Crackle, VuDu, game consoles, etc. Without having the combination for streaming and DVD unlimited subscription plans rolled into one they are left with subscription streaming, which requires more than just "web monkeys", it's requires broadband. The USPS may be a mess, but more people can subscribe to that than broadband.

How f@cking stupid is that? They present it as $7.99 for streaming OR $7.99 for DVDs and if you want both you pay full price for both? How did that get out of a board room or marketing? Freaking idiots. All they had to say was (in best Steve Jobs voice) - "some of our customers only want streaming and some only want DVD's, so we're making it easy for either of them, pay for only what you want. It's only $7.99 for unlimited streaming or $7.99 for unlimited DVDs. For those who want both we're offering it at a discount, it's only $14.99 for unlimited DVDs and streaming." Yes, people would still be upset about the 50% price increase, but at least a few would spread the good word of choice and the bundling discount. As many homes have 3 or 4 boxes on all the time they would probably use IN TOTAL more than the typical 1 refrigerator in a typical home. I actually turn my cable boxes on and off with the tv. Most people probably don't do this as it leads to stupid HDMI handshake errors. I get these occasionally - especially ESPN and it's 720p programming - but changing the channel seems to fix most errors. In short - many DVR and cable boxes which are typical in a home use more power than the typical 1 refrigerator. Attach the 3 or 4 tvs, a PS3, always on Wii, Xbox360 and a VCR or DVD or blu-ray player and you got a LOT of power in a household with a couple of teenagers.

It never states second hand sales should be band or are illegal or are the work of the devil, it simply states the company loses more sales to customers of used games than it loses to pirates, which is probably true, as pirates wouldn't buy the game anyway, so no lost sale, but used gamers would have bought the game new without the used option, hence costing the company money.
