Yeah, I hate when local governments try to tell me that carrying a gun is not a perfect solution to self defense, so they get rid of my ability to do so.
The problem with that train of thought is the whole "current issues" angle. You can have a candidate run for President under the guise of some other issue as his primary and be a downright bastard toward the FCC. If a politician wants to squeak through legislation on something they just have to get the populous distracted on some oil spill and enough people don't see what's happening to stop it.
Granted, with the Internet, it's easier to track some of the goings on today... but if someone is put in charge of the Internet and people's ability to access it: that could soon change.
I'm no fan of regulation that restricts consumer choice (localized ISP monopolies - Power/Phone/Fiber lines should be laid with roads IMO and companies should pay the city access fees) but most of what the FCC does is limit consumer access to uncensored communication. (word filters on broadcasts, specific windows of channels [which I sort of understand, but why no channel 13/14 for Wifi?]) Why can't I setup a repeater node in my home (even if it's on an approved group of frequencies) and let anyone use it without some sort of legal recourse? That right should be protected, no matter what is being transmitted.
I actually find that sorting by ranking tends to weed out most/all of that... I can't think of a time within the past month I went to find something and ran across a sound board or some stupid app without digging down a few pages.
Actually the Droid is a two part definition. It's a phone (the Motorola made Droid) and a series of phones (Droid Incredible, Droid X...) Nice and confusing for customers.
Also, I didn't buy a Nexus for lack of a keyboard. I didn't care if it was unlocked. I want a physical keyboard. So I bought a Droid early on.

Wait... you get money for your posts?
(Yes, I know there's the right way and the wrong way to read that.)
Odd, my karma is pretty high, but it still forces me to preview before submitting. I remember a while back there were both buttons, but with the "new look" it "hid" the submit behind the preview.
That's different from any other media? Even gaming media is stagnating with lack of new ideas and rehashes of old game ideas with new fancy. From what I read, a good chunk of game developers have an abysmal track record right now as well.
I'm a dark background coder... I love my glossy in low light but not in the over-bright diffused fluorescent office because with my old CRT I could see my white shirt reflecting back over my code making it a PITA to deal with.
Worthy of recognition, but they didn't say it was "OMG" good. That's like saying to your date: "You know, I recently went out with this ultra hot woman the other day and I'd place you somewhere below average, but I commend you for trying."
I have a few Realtek NICs (8139) that are among the most reliable and simple devices to install.
Maybe I just got lucky, but I have a few PCI Realtek NIC that I've moved from PC to PC doing upgrades and NEVER had a problem with it working on any Operating system I've ever installed.
The damn thing just works, flawlessly. Is that so bad?
Ah, but humor can and will sway the audience to one side or the other... mostly to the side not being laughed at. In fact, I can't think of a way to entertain people with news and not make it bias.
So if we want to get rid of the RIAA we simply jam up the courts with cases until they bankrupt themselves.
What does Microsoft have to do with this?

"...this attempts to see how we can use new technology to control old technology,” says Daniel Wigdor, a user experience architect for Microsoft who hasn’t worked directly on the project.
So they asked someone from Microsoft for their input even though they had no direct impact on the project? Why? And they tag it with Microsoft? Is Microsoft trying to claim rights to MIT research?

I still assume a mass of settled dirt or triangle when I hear delta.

Even better: Posting comments going for a "Funny" mod which doesn't mean anything for your Karma... but doing it anyway. ;)
I'm trying to figure this out too. How does Obama have any say in what happens to this guy?

... you have to use the preview button to get to the submit button ... unless I'm missing something. ;)

Rinse and repeat.
Why would I want to do the same report twice? ... duh. I'd take that $1000 and run!
You should probably do what I did and upgrade your account:

(Just don't mind that delete_account part... They meant to type upgrade) ;)

Unfortunately, through electrolysis, one side will get all the fine metals and the other side will get a rusty stick.
Sadly, the world is run by people with "belief" in something they can't solidly describe/verify... so it's par for the course.
Maybe it's the alcohol talking, but ROFL...
I think you mean ruffie?

I like to think of it in these terms:
of or relating to or constituting the core (nucleus) of a tiny piece of said item (atom)
In other words... everything you can think of and in gruesome detail.
