There is a free version of Oracle available. Its not licensed in any way. However if you go over their max data limit, then you have to purchase a version of Oracle.
Also, RedHat and CentOS are the same product. They are the same source code: RedHat compiled by RedHat, and CentOS compiled by open source community. This allows RedHat to get more exposure and most of the bugs found in CentOS can be patched back into RedHat.

I think the biggest problems teachers of the current generation students have is that these students are constantly multitasking. They grew up in an environment where so much is constantly going on in their normal habitat (home, friends house's and so on) that attempting to teach in a normal classroom setting will drive them to utter boredom. These students need to be active on many levels, not just one particular focus. You'll lose them.

Having text ongoing while presenting videos with active listening to get them involved maybe your best bet.

You've now legally purchased the game without installing the draconian DRM crap. You also don't get any support from the company when it breaks (normal when you pirate). You've shown support to the developers who have worked their tails off to make the game, but you haven't exposed yourself to what you don't like.

Granted even using this tactic is considered illegal. *shrugs* The only real answer is don't buy the game to boycott their process.

The problem is the masses have already invested in the game without your boycott and anyone boycotting at this stage is wasting his/her breath. If enough people don't buy for PC, then you're basically forcing the developers to ignore the PC platform in the future because its not worth the cost.

The only thing I saw in this game that was outstandingly unique were the open public quests. Those were actually quite a bit of fun, IF you could get enough people to do them with you, or IF there were enough people in the general area. I also found it extremely humorous that higher level toons couldn't gank lower levels. If the higher level to was too high, they ran around as an easy to kill chicken! I've been following the progress of the hybrids like the Dynalifter. I really hope some of these programs do start to take off (figuratively and literally). If the site has any type of disclosure or terms of use stating that using their URL in any way outside of their service is illegal, its illegal. You accept the terms of use or you don't. You go around the terms of use, you've just "hacked" the site. As for the re-occuring theme that I read above about freeloaders... If its not illegal, then why not? If it is, people probably need to be educated. If they persist even after education, yeah then they are in for a world of hurt due to their own actions. The logic they need to apply for going after a shared folder needs to be specifically defined that it allows others to download the music outside of the realm of fair-use in a method that goes beyond what fair-use is intended for. I feel and strongly believe that local area networks, larger networks , and VPNs target a very specific audience that can easily be defined through fair-use.

The material in shares should be secured to only allow specific targetted users that are acceptable to share with for the terms of fair-use.

Yeah it was a stunt alright. And now they understand full well how much money they could earn just by doing what's right for them.

As for piracy killing the market and business... No. Piracy only accounts for about 20-30% sales loss, and its always been present, in all shapes, forms, and is an age old issue all persons have had to deal with throughout history. Technology has accelerated it, but it didn't make it worse.

The problem is that the industry didn't keep up with technology. End of line.
