Voted first thing. The woman in front of me in line was told she already voted by absentee ballot, she said she had never even applied for one. I didn't see how that turned out.
I'm 41, and I have a core group of buddies with whom I have been multi-gaming since 1995. We met when Duke Nukem 3D came out, and on weekends we would rewire our employer's network to give our workstations the 10MB connections (we were the IT folks) and we would Duke it up all day. Then UO came out, and we were the early adopters of the first cable modem lines, and we would crush peeps with our low pings. And I can't tell you the number of times we were called "low ping bastards" in Team Fortress Classic.
I think my age group... some of us... are the first ones looking forward to being old and infirm so we can chillax in a nursing home all day, owning bitches in online games and watching a torrent of Aliens in 2160P while peeing into a catheter. "dtmancom, you have visitors!" "Go away, raiding." And, of course, we'll be 75 years old and mocking the console noobs.
If you took away my electricity right now, I would not be living in "squalor and filth." I would be living without electricity. Since I already grow my own vegetables and eggs, and most importantly, I brew my own beer...... I and a lot of the other poors outside of your "area of profitability" will be living quite comfortably.
I just wonder what is meant by "they vote and are ruining things for the rest of us."
My child will be well-schooled on the Theory of Evolution no matter what the government decides to teach him, and he will know that ID is bullshit. And, I will make sure he understands evolution, unlike, I would estimate, 75% of the people who say they "believe" in evolution.
Nothing is being "ruined" until Christians are allowed to start killing heretics, Taliban-style. I don't think we're there yet.
If these former colonies always degenerate when given independence from colonial control because of the, "They never knew how to take care of themselves" argument, then what is going to happen to the citizens of the United States in the very near future? I don't see a lot of areas where the United States government is taking a hands-off approach in the lives of its subjects.
Just do what I do: say, "I used to work at the company that made these, and we used to cook Hot Pockets in them for lunch."
Not true, but I do enjoy making them wonder.
These days, "Wow, I really disagree with Obama's policy on taxation" = racism.
I never thought of the dealer as an unnecessary middleman before... and at the same time I learn they are protected by law.
Is it possible to order a car directly from a manufacturer, and skip the dealer markup completely?
Are there ANY Chinese companies that chose to open a factory in the US, where they would have to deal with employee unions?

Now I hear that sort of thing is happening a lot.
Nice to see California is flush with cash.
Yeah but, according to the Labor Department gas prices had already dropped in California, so be happy.
Red wrigglers? They're the Cadillac of worms.

How do I mod the judge a Troll?
Reloaded the last version of Office I bought, which was Office 2000. It is still doing everything I need to do. Imagine that.
But at least they were able to get men on the moon. The USA can't even get people into space at the moment.
In a marriage, you can either argue with your wife and still be wrong, or you can just be wrong from the get-go.
Might as well conserve your energy.
As soon as I saw the headline, I knew I would read "Romney" in the summary. Keep the narrative alive, soldiers.
Obama's place of birth is an actual Constitutional issue. Ryan's cliques in high school are not.

This is why there are no animals within 10 miles of Cape Canaveral.
That would be hope, and change.

Too bad you never got any government money to address your anger management issues.
Maybe you aren't being targeted by a small handful of zealots... maybe it's just that a whole bunch of regular people think you're kind of a dick?
And hey, maybe it's both.
Downloaded a cam copy before opening weekend.
1. Bought 5 total tickets opening weekend, on Friday night for the wife and I, on Sunday afternoon for wife, son, and myself.
2. I partially bought because of the DL. It is hard to assess the quality, so the other reason was the hype that was building. I would say 70/30.
I love that argument.

Mocking people who pray for rain is a worse waste of time as the actual praying for rain, since you, at least, should know better.
I'm not sure how this post fits into the "waste of time" hierarchy.
