    I bought a T-Mobile line last month and used it for a continuous 4 weeks in various places in California. Never for once had I seen LTE in my phone; I wonder how can anyone use 2 TB of data in one month with this extremely slow data service.

    I have been using Blizzard's Authenticator on my iPhone for a quite a while now and I'm very pleased with it. I can't imagine the devastation I would be in if my wow account got hijacked. I've spent days and nights developing my characters and It would be a huge loss if I lost them to some script kiddie.

    The iPhone Authenticator is like you holding a physical key to your account. Good idea.

    Are we gonna ever have a 2.7.xx developmental branch? how long are we going to keep adding features and breaking things in the stable branch? why doesn't Linus hand over the 2.6 to another maintainer like he did for 2.4 and begin a developmental branch to try out new stuff?

    I want an enterprise quality Linux to run a database server on it. But I don't want to pay the Redhat price tag; CentOS gives me the quality of Redhat Enterprise Linux for free. So it's running my database server and doing so quite well too.

    What's funny about what you mentioned is that when firefox orignally started, it was supposed to be the light weight version of Mozilla. Now you're saying it is a bigger memory hog than Mozilla or seamonkey!!

    Maybe now we need a light weight version of the light weight version of Mozilla :)

    I've been using Quicken 2004 on linux through crossover for a while now. I'm very satisfied with it. It is stable enough for me to do everything I need to do. I see little to no reason at all to use GUNCash until it is stable enough.

    have you seen or heard of a bug that evoloved into an animal? or worse a human?

    All species that evolove are bateria or viruses. and they "change" into another type of bacteria or virus. Never have we heard about a bacteria or a virus that evoloved into a monkey or a lion or a human except in darwin's head.

    Really.... do the phone customers in Asia whom are buying these phones know or care that it is running Linux? Ask Joe user what OS is his phone running... chances are you will get a reply like "OS?". Only us nerds care about the phone OS. Normal people just care that their phone runs stable and do the features that they bought it to do regardless of OS.

    How do I hook up a local phone line to asterisk? I want to use my local phone line for all local calls and VoIP for international calls.

    So how do I link my local phone line cord to a box running asterisk? do I need a special card or adapter? How much are these and are they compatible with Linux? Please suggest one if you can.

    That's what competition brings you. Lower prices and better quality. The existence of a fuly capable alternate to microsoft products in the open source software gives Micorosoft and other software vendors competition and give us consumers lower prices and better quality.

    For aliens to be able to reach earth means they got so much technologically advanced that they are now capable of space travel. So why in god's name does most of the aliens movies show the aliens as Green creatures who say nothing but GGHHrrr and are naked!!

    If they are so technologically advanced, one would think they should wear clothes and be able to communicate better than GGGggrrrr. But Hollywood somehow seem to miss this everytime.... Remember Signs?

    A couple of days ago I was telling a friend of mine that these USB flash drives everyone carries at work will soon die and extinct in favour of SD cards.

    Sandisk couldnt prove me any more right.

    1) Download FC3 ISO images
    2) Burn them to CDs
    3) Put on the FC3 cd and click on upgrade

    can't get any easier than that. I wouldnt want to use yum or apt because of the GCC upgrade.

    2.6.8 introduced a bug in which it makes k3b unable to detect the cd writers as normal user and would require root only.

    Has that been fixed in 2.6.9?

    Well I have a P4 3.06 Ghz with 1 GB of ram and a Geforce4 video card and I still say OpenOffice is sluggish.

    Even running MS Office on CrossOver office was less sluggish than the natively linux coded OpenOffice

    Alot of the cars now come with a sensor that alrets the driver when aproaching the the car behind. Couldnt the automatic parking system make use of this? and therefore fully automate the process.
