British TV shows have 6 episodes, much easier commitment to run through an entire series. American TV shows are maybe 12-20 episodes per season.
Personally I only binge to catch up on a newly discovered gem, and then watch episodes of various shows here and there on rotation when I am caught up to make it last until next season.
"Police will ring every doorbell and use helicopters with heat-sensing cameras to make sure nobody is left behind before they start diffusing the bomb."
SNES games age OK, these games hold up and can easily stand alongside downloadable games being released today, they are often fine bite sized affairs, different takes on companions to their modern iterations that are still fun.
It happens on PC where gamepads and M/K are matched up, people of varying frame rates, ping times, abilities, matchmaking seems to work fine. This is not even a problem.
They refused with FFXI, FFXIV, Borderlands 2, Steam when Valve were trying to get Portal 2 cross platform multiplayer/voice etc. Sony accepted by the way.
Of course now lagging behind online with Xbox and Windows Store they are shamelessly doing a reversal...
Here's a classic quote from back in the day, the same kind of thing they're chiding others for saying currently, via Kotaku:
"Here's a Microsoft spokesperson saying "no," while promoting how awesome the Xbox 360's online service is: "Xbox Live delivers the best entertainment experience unmatched by anyone else, with 35 million actively engaged members. We have a high level of expectation for our game developers to ensure that all Live experiences remain top notch. Because we can't guarantee this level of quality, or control the player experience on other consoles or gaming networks, we currently do not open our network to games that allow this cross-over capability.""
MS was asked many times to do cross platform networking, FFXI (MS refused, Sony did it square skipped MS with FFXIV), Borderlands 2, Steam w/Portal 2 on 360 (MS refused, Sony did it on PS3)
MS gave this reasoning via Kotaku: "Here's a Microsoft spokesperson saying "no," while promoting how awesome the Xbox 360's online service is: "Xbox Live delivers the best entertainment experience unmatched by anyone else, with 35 million actively engaged members. Now that they need players on Xbox Live and Windows Store and are having trouble making inroads in those areas, they're panhandling.
The SNES Classic is the item that won't be around next year, they need to make more of those. Nobody can get one, preorder availability was pathetic. Switch has a couple of games I want to play, SNES Classic has at least 10. Just make more of those.
Yes I have a SNES but not all of these games, but I want Star Fox 2, new official controllers, and a HDMI out.
Checking the news obsessively just leads to a greater obsession with doing same.
There's nothing wrong with having someone else tell you if there's something important.... And with all these people afraid of missing out there must be tons of people who are aware of the media's particular perspective!
I used to check Slashdot obsessively but then found myself stuck in a loop of doing just that, and didn't realize how much of it was pure obsession and not actual benefit/fun in any way until I stepped away. And it was actually getting me worked up, I would get too involved in conversations, and too anxious about bad news and everything terrible about the world, without being able to even do anything about it because I was busy refreshing pages.
Remember pre-internet (or at least pre-AOL and pre-Google)? Life was still fun, maybe more fun...
Back on PS2 Sony worked with Square to allow cross platform play with PC for FFXI, 360 had the game too but MS refused to link up and stayed off by themselves.

So is it really any wonder now that MS is playing runner up that Sony got fed up of this fair weather crap and gave MS the very same excuse that MS gave back in the day?
True! Some people are never happy and never will be.
As for job hopping, unfortunately for me as a teen I was getting kicked out and encouraged to find something that will be as stable as possible. Other luckier friends were encouraged to try a lot of things and had encouragement and the safety net of their family. These people were a lot more discerning and found happiness earlier on and were able to attain both stability and happiness.
For me and my siblings it took longer and we may suffer more from finding something good only later on, but overall our daily lives will be better. I mean once we were happy we did settle and now have 'careers'
Well if they can't handle it they need to upgrade their networks. If they can't, they need to plan a more sustainable long-term budget. If this is how they handle increased demand from consumers then they will eventually hit a wall.
Are these the same type of people who get stockholm syndrome working for shitty people and under horrible policies?
The people you work with and workplace culture have a lot to do with happiness, I've convinced my wife and other people in my family to keep looking for something better even though they were making enough to be comfortable, simply because they were unhappy at work. Most have found something with equal or better pay and much nicer bosses/coworkers, and it made all the difference in their lives. No longer coming home feeling like shit and ready for a drink, too anxious to sleep well at night, etc.
Don't settle, if you're not happy then keep looking.
The 360 used a transfer cable, 3DS lets you just copy content between SD cards when you move to a new system, PS3 and PS4 let you use a USB drive to transfer contents to a new system.
Things have been this way for about 10+ years now, nothing new
On the other hand on XboxOneX launch day the servers are guaranteed to go down as gamers download all the patches and assets to update their games for the platform!
Also forgot to mention we often hit the library to borrow seasons of shows and movies, and of course trade with friends and family. Pretty good and low budget.
Heavy fines from the FCC for such breaches no matter the cause, and/or impose standard operating procedures based on best practices.

I hope it is defused and not diffused

So next to burst is the big video bubble I guess
Sorry for posting this twice :( I thought there was a problem with the first and didn't see it come up when I refreshed. Apologies.
There is no time/place for watching a video, especially ones with more style than substance, hot takes full of hot garbage.
A concise article is always preferable, easier to read, don't need to find earbuds etc, can't copy and paste from a video to quote to friends etc

Rosegarden?
True that.
Well there is historical evidence to support it with other recent games https://aotf.com/news/sony-won...
They do allow betas though on PS+ for which users may play a near final multiplayer portion of a game
I'm not sure how the lines are drawn, I mean PUBG is multiplayer only, but maybe is not feature complete so that could be the issue here

There are no demands to make up for all of the inconvenience, wasted time, overages on bandwidth, etc?
Slap on the wrist...
No, PUBG went to Xbox because they have an unfinished games program, Sony doesn't let unfinished games in its store
For some reason I messed up the FFXI link in my post so here it is: http://ca.ign.com/articles/200...
Back on PS2 Sony worked with Square to allow
cross platform play with PC for FFXI, 360 had the game too but MS refused to link up and stayed off by themselves.
Because of that FFXIV did not come to Xbox platforms
PS3 Sony partnered with Valve to bring cross platform multiplayer, chat, achievements, etc allowing Steam to work across PS3 and PC. Again MS refused.
Gearbox wanted Borderlands 2 to work across all platforms, and here is what MS had to say via Kotaku:

Now this generation, Sony helped launch Rocket Cars as a free download on PSN and it had cross platform play with PC. Same with Street Fighter V
So is it really any wonder now that MS is playing runner up that Sony got fed up of this fair weather crap and gave MS the very same excuse that MS gave back in the day?
So why again is Sony getting shit for this?

Why would it be any different than the process from moving from an Xbox One to an Xbox One S?
Kind of old news by now how to do this, and already pops up on a new console with instructions on moving from another system...
Also forgot to mention we often hit the library to borrow seasons of shows and movies, and of course trade with friends and family. Pretty good and low budget.
