And these are the same IT Executives that have been abusing the H1B visa program and have been offshoring all the IT jobs for the last decade. I call BS.
Agreed. The biggest question I would pose here is that why did not all these companies take cloud based services not being available to allow continuation of business into account? This is a basic HA design paradigm in order to not be affected by service interruptions. Anytime an external system call is performed, the assumption should be that it is not available and provide an alternative mechanism to handle outages and not affect business operations. Unless, of course, the business has no issues with not being able to do anything and is willing to accept the downtime as negligible.
And word of mouth is better than a documented technical discussion. Do not know about you but some that I have talked to sometimes get selective amnesia. So in some instances, word of mouth is fine, but on big projects documenting quite a bit helps in the long run.
Their salary offering is much to be desired. They do not even offer standard industry rate no matter where they are geographically located. In 2010, they would offer about 10-20k less for a senior developer in the area that I was in.
They also employ the same tactics as Infosys, TCS, etal with regard to H1Bs.
Already been confirmed as fake news. Look where it is coming from. His residency has already been extended to the year 2020. And spokespeople for Russia have already stated "Nonsense"
Brand new install of Slackware with Kernel 1.2.8 (circa late 1994) which was a statically linked build. Thought I was in/usr/local/lib (shell only had current level directory not the full path) but was really in/lib. Proceeded to rm -rf * to get rid of a test build (or so I thought). Well then I was wondering after about 10 sec the rm command was throwing errors. Seems that once the rm command hit libc.a any and all operations ceased.
After that I always had the root user have the full path in the shell. Luckily no data was lost that a quick reinstall did not fix. But people did start asking me why they were getting a bizarre error when trying to get their mail with their pop client.
Umm, remote??? Good enough for off shoring, why not do that locally? That has always been a peeve of mine, they will readily off shore to the other side of the world, but not the next city or state? WTF??
You mean like Obama did? Disregarding the immigration laws with DACA? Or did you attack Obama this much when he threw the Constitution to the wind as well.
You mean just like everyone said he was to become a shill for the liberal/conservative elites, how's that working out for them right now? He is actually rewriting parts of the political landscape .
Say all you want about how he is going to screw everybody for his own benefit, but it can really only be said when he actually does it. So far he is pretty much on a roll about all the things he said he was going to do which is rare for a politician this day and age and that is what is freaking people out right now. His actions are not that of a typical US politician.
But now it will cost them a lot more to do so. The idea is to eliminate the monetary incentive to hire outside the country, thus enforcing the original intent of the H1B program.
Absolutely. But he did not use a home-brewed setup where he had direct control over it. He used his personal email account much like gmail, yahoo, etc.... And no, he publicly stated that he was NOT the one who gave her the idea and the memo stating what he did was a full year AFTER she set hers up.
You are talking about an extreme which may not even be considered conservative. They are exactly what they seem to be, however you should not confuse them with conservative. They are trying to associate themselves with the conservative ideology but are not. But just because they are not civil, does not mean that we should not be.
All of them had strong ties to the US economy and they played the game.
Conversely who donated how much to the Clinton Crime Family and their election campaign? I don't recall any known donations from those countries for the Trump campaign. Who did not want to allow 9/11 victims' family law suits against Saudi Arabia? What was his name again?
We can cherry pick our data all day long, but currently there is not a method in place where these 7 countries can assure the US that the people coming in are who they are and until that is put in place it may be prudent for any country to express concern over this issue. Also, some on that list are not exactly hiding the fact that they are not looking out for this countries best interests. Some have even expressed their desire for the death of our beliefs. Explain to me why we should let people like that in our country again?
No, you are just still deluding yourself. She even said "Comey caused me to lose the election due to new evidence" She knew exactly what she was doing when she setup that email server and to state otherwise shows your stupidity through denial.... Or perhaps you also think it isn't unethical and/or illegal to circumvent the installed government oversight mechanism?
It only takes one, so math and rationality would dictate to eliminate known variables. I have notice you now and in the past have the knack of verbally assaulting any who does not think like you. So I am guessing you are NOT a conservative.
I agree, and I also will accept a (-1 Troll) as I am just relieved that there is actually an elected official who actually doing as he had promised to do to get elected.
We will see how long this will last, but so far I am pretty optimistic.

I will pass on this option.

Yea, I read this and said to myself, "Now what could ever go wrong with this?".
Because Trump is breaking campaign promises as rapidly as he can.
Not true. The judicial branch is breaking them for him at the request of a minority of the population.
Last count I saw was 94 million out of the work force (for whatever reason).
So you are saying globalization IS all about wealth redistribution, thanks for clearing that up.

Ditto, but it was an HP DVD +R/RW. But I guess Texas is not included on the list of eligible states. So they did not overcharge these residents?

Yea, I figured as much. You did not.

They could offer a remote position. Heck isn't that the same as outsourcing to another country?
Unfortunately, CEOs do not look at long term. The see how much is my bonus for this quarter and when it implodes, they exit.
