Part of the appeal of the Simpsons is how they are a "real" family. They are more realistic than alot of tv families out there, especially the #1 show when the Simpsons came out, The Cosby Show.
I installed this shit because it came with the automatic updates. I should have been more careful, my dad is always telling my I'm too cynical, I'm obviously not cynical enough.
This is scary. Just because this information is out there doesn't mean the government should datamine it or act on it.
The information was out there and the government authorities didn't act on it and we had over 20 killed in Columbine, OH. You shouldn't put stuff out there you dont want people to take seriously just like you can't yell fire in a movie theatre.
I've lived in 4 different places in 2 cities and have been able to consistantly recieve 80-90% of the advertised speed through cable. There's a reason why the ads on TV have speeds will vary written in fine print.
Ideally, in such a complete library we should also be able to read any article ever written in any newspaper, magazine or journal. And why stop there?
I guess this author is hoping he can get some fees from this project while he scrounges for a job when the NY times downsizes him cause newspapers are on the way out.
I have to agree that it is an attack because it comes at this point in time. We seem to be at least 5+ years away from widespread HDTV usage over the internet. HDTVs are owned by about 25% of the population. TIVO series-3 isn't out yet. There is also still some confusion over what you will need to be able to play HD video in VISTA and we already know from next gen DVD players that some people who have an HDTV will not be able to see their content in HD because of hollywood's paranoia. If the broadcast flag is reinstated, I see Time Warner and Comcast restricting their HDTV broadcasts of the stations that they own (CNN etc.) to save themselves on 2 fronts.
The storms over the great lakes have the effect they do because of how water changes temperature slower than the air above it. With the cooler air over the warmer water you get strong convection currents. You also get the polar jet stream moving further south starting around November and that steers storms from the Gulf of Alaska toward the great lakes region. There are strong arguments that we are in an active period that cycles about every 30 years, we also don't know what sort of effects global warming would have on global wind patterns and ocean currents which also affect the strength of hurricanes. I dont have strong feelings either way on this debate, but it would be good irregardless if we can cut emissions and fossil fuel dependence.
If ever there's a reason for net neutrality this is it. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Time Warner throttles the bandwidth for TIVOs trying to connect to this.
WTF are you doing? How about concentrating on the NBC brand, which is losing ratings (and dump MSNBC for god sakes). Continue to invest in healthcare and insurance which will continue to grow while high oil prices will put a hold on growth in the aircraft and plastics sectors. And pump some more money into congre$$ to get some new nuke plants with your new reactors approved. I'm sick of my shares hovering between 30-38 for the last 2 and a half years. I dont see to many myspace users buying appliances or insurance.

The raw numbers from this study are available here.
If you look at the US numbers: The most trusted specific news sources mentioned without prompting by Americans include FOX News (mentioned by 11%), CNN (11%), ABC (4%), NBC (4%), National Public Radio (3%), CBS (3%), Microsoft/MSN (2%), USA Today (2%), New York Times (2%), CNN.com (1%), Time Magazine (1%), and friends/family (1%).
I have to agree, I downloaded the Yahoo Go! for TV and while the interface is pretty nice its performance is lackluster. The most glaring thing is that the video quality of live TV is worse than with MCE. It also doesn't include nor does it look like you can get a plug-in to have an audio playlist editor. I'd like to see good competition to MCE, but Yahoo isn't there yet.
BlueSecurity lists a USA address as their place of business, whereas their main office is in Tel Aviv. BlueSecurity is run by a few Russian-born Jews, who have previously been spamming themselves.
I dont see spam stopping as long as these people are making money, as long as there are idiots buying shit or clicking links in spam its not going to stop.
I thought FERPA didn't allow college administrators to disclose personal information to outside authorities without proper documentation like a search warrant.
If media PCs finally take off in the next 5+ years, especially with the networks now offering more online content, I'd put my money with whoever micro$oft ends up offering better support for in Vista (I've seen rumors about Blu-Ray being added), since they have the ability to essentially kill off rival formats (unless the rival can get the kind of market penetration of the ipod).

There's no telling how many viruses are on all those mice and keyboards.
We see how well the underground lines did in 1977 and 2003.
Now they will know that you have change.

Especially when you involve 2 of the most ineffective forms of bringing change: web petitions and the UN

I saw a mac mini G4 for full price at Costco a couple of weeks ago, had to hold in my laughter.
One of the rent-to-own places sells dell computers, i think its Aaron's, they advertise them and they are about double what you should be paying.
