    i know this is slashdot and we think email is the only method to redress an issue, but here are few other more traditional avenues:

    1. in person, walk, take a horse, train, car or airplane to werever you rep is hanging their hat.

    2. send snail mail, tried and true, and just as likely to be read, even if it will take 3 years to get there.

    3. call on phone.

    4. note in a bottle.

    I found the best method is to install kerberos, nss ldap client on linux, then install R2 AD extensions on Windows 2003.

    The reason i dont like the likewise solution, is it assigns a random UID, vs being able to move from station to station with the same one.

    i agree on OS X systems having ongoing problems, my workplace is 1/2 apple, and i have more issues with them than the pc's but as mentioned before, just as apple buries all bad press on their systems, all apple slashdot users will bury bad comments about apple products on slashdot.

    i've been able to use my GSM phone when i travel around the world, CDMA, not so much.

    touch screens seem more the norm, not sure yet if i think they are better. linux OS seems more necessary than their closed source cousins OSX and windows.

    sorry, come from a linux background where we prefer one thing to do its job well, in this case, make phone calls. as opposed to making all things "multimedia extravaganzas!" there is always windows mobile and iphone for you to check out.
