    Hmmm. divulging that one of the political aids has a brain tumor that may not be treatable and another is suspected of having HIV, seems to be both personal and private information.

    Did the cables actually contain this information? I cannot find any reference to it.

    Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is completely HUD-less. If you're hit, the camera jerks a bit. The colours fade to grayscale as you lose blood. If your leg is hurt, you limp. Sanity loss (a big part of the game) comes with irregular breathing, hallucinations and voices.

    The game is very immersive and scared the crap out of me.

    This reminds me of an essay I was writing for school. We had been told that Wikipedia is an acceptable source as long as the contributors seem trustworthy, e.g. with a full name instead of a pseudonym.     Games cannot be infinitely long. There is a rule stating that the game is drawn when 50 moves have been played without any piece being captured or any pawn being moved. Thus, the maximum number of moves is around 50*6*15*2.

    I still cannot see how that would matter. Evolution took a while. So? We're the ones who are going to colonize it, and we're going to bring evolution with us. I highly doubt that the lifetime of the star is short enough for us to live there and eventually escape to another system.

    Then you should see phpBB. They don't even have their plugins separated from the core code, which means that once you apply a fix, it's practically impossible to update. I was actually relieved when I first edited a WordPress theme and found that it was so much better than phpBB.

    Why would the age and type of star matter? The surface temperature is 0-40 centigrades, which indicates that the star emits enough energy.

    The point is not colonizing for the sake of colonizing, but in order to ensure the survival of our species. As someone pointed out, what if a rock decides to crash into Earth and kill everyone? That colony ship would then be very useful if we wanted to survive.
