Really? They think your comment is "insightful" ?
It's a 10 year old OS -- keep using it if you really want to, but don't complain/whine/bitch when new things don't work for you. Believe it or not Windows XP might not have certain underlying technologies that are built into Vista/Windows 7 that iCloud needs. Keep XP if you want to, but stupid bitching about things not working on it.
If you're still on Windows XP (and you're a home user) than you are an idiot. Update and move on for the love of god. The majority of Windows XP users will be corporate sheep anyway -- and they don't need to be using iTunes/iCloud anyway.
uh... riiiiight.
We should give Steve Jobs a free pass for being a huge egotistical douche for the past decade just because the man is sick now? Uh, no. He's still a douche, a sick douche, but still a huge douche.
For the love of god, can we just stop calling him the "Gmail creator" at this point? It's pathetic. Good to see it's his only claim to fame. Wait, you mean he created an online email system? Shocking! Gmail isn't exactly rocket science guys...don't get too impressed when he talks about anything else.
It's just a web app. did you guys even bother to read? I realize you wouldn't have anything to bitch about if you acknowledged that it's a web app, but still. Try reading.
"And since it's run by Microsoft, you know you can trust it."
Clearly we should all feel more trusting of Google I'm sure, right? The double standard is kind of a joke.
Let me first say, 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0
Secondly let me say "Bring it on you douche bags."
You can't stop us all. For every 1 you take down 10 more will pop up. It's a losing battle, just accept that.
Any kind soul want to make a quick and dirty Twitter plugin for the rest of us? Ideally I just want to be able to update send a Twit with my current away message in Pidgin...
Thanks for any help guys.
I sent her a rather friendly email explaining how this "internet thing" works...how the system of tubes "connects" people, etc.
What an ignorant fool this lady is.
What ridiculous bullshit is this? What's next? I will carry a post-it note in my pocket that says you can't give me dirty looks. Then when you do I'll just sue you because I have this little post-it note saying you can't? Are you f-ing kidding me?
If she is too stupid to read up on how to prevent her site from being crawled then it is her own fault, end of story.
I have a copy of the OS and I must admit it definitely is a bit confusing. The icons are not really all that intuitive. (I played with it inside of a VM)
Sinister indeed.
Better get out your tinfoil hat then...
Way to turn this into Microsoft's fault (by vaguely implying they have something to do with this).
Why is this a surprise? Corps never immediately upgrades to a new OS. It has not and will not ever happen.
Corps need a good year or two to flush out any bugs/incompatibilities with their existing software/hardware. This is not anything specific to Microsoft or to Vista.
Yet again, Slashdot trying to make everything anti-Microsoft/Vista. It's really kinda funny (in a sad kind of way).
ok, see this was almost a good article until the last sentence at which point you lost any respect I had for the validity of your information,
" that takes five years to ship an incoherent upgrade to their flagship product."
What are you smoking my friend? Oh, I am sure you'll be the same person who will turn around and tell me how Leopard will be anything more than a service pack. Right, keep right on smoking that stuff my friend.
Gee, I smell lawsuit... monopolistic tactics?
Why are they not including a generic connector/charger for all MP3 players, including iPods. What a joke.

http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/03/05/why-isn-t-ie8-passing-acid2.aspx This has long since been addressed already.
So it's just like the Optimus keyboard? Gee, way to "innovate" Apple. Some things never change.
You're a douche bag for not linking back to the ORIGINAL story which was Neowin's exclusive. Engadget at least had the dignity to leak to Neowin's story (not just the image). http://www.neowin.net/news/main/07/11/10/suggestions-for-future-versions-of-windows
dude...what a classic comment :)

This would be an overreaction by some zealots, nothing more.

I agree. Apple will go ahead and try and sue these guys because they need to maintain some semblance of smugness now don't they?
What other company sues their users for pointing out bugs? Oh right, Apple will prove to be the first.

a full day late on this one ...way to go guys. nothing like bleeding edge news a day late...
The only distro of linux that is even vaguely close enough to mature to be a valid challenger to Vista might be Ubuntu, and that is still pushing it.
Well then, don't download a warez copy and then this won't even vaguely be a problem.
People seriously are just looking for a reason to bitch about Microsoft, it's really quite sad.
Congratulations Slashdot on being a full day late on this "news" ...you guys must really be slipping.
