    I tried Eclipse while in College and it was god awful slow compare to Visual Studio(.Net 1.1). I have not tried Eclipse since.

    Money won't matter much to poor people in poor countries like Mexico or even China because those people already used to be poor. Can you image what will happen if people in the West starting to lose their money. Do you think people at the West can get used to living dirt poor? I know American certainly will not. There will be riot, protest and even civil war. American have a huge pool of middle class and we have been living well for many years. Today's youth have not endure hardship. Unemployed young people == revolution. Can you code OSS if you have to live in your car? Hell, it might not be a bad thing for this country to go the shitter. Maybe a new order will rise from the ashes of this crapper.

    No problem with Vista64 business edition either. I have been using Vista since Microsoft release it under ActionPack. There are some application issue since some apps have problem running under 64bit. Other than that no hardware problem or BSOD.

    Wait. since when did leasing and renting is different? What kind of choice that you won't have if you lease it for a year and don't like it then you can stop the subscription. i have windows OneCare a while back and there is no cancellation fee or whatsoever. there are no cancellation fee for any software or service that i know of unless you sign a contract then yeah there is fee just like everything else in this world. you can still use OneCare even if you stop the subscription. you just won't get the update which is fair. what does WGA validation have to do with subscription? do you even understand what WGA does? What the other guy said is correct. subscription allow you to try out the software for whatever long you like and no huge up front cost like purchasing the software.

    anti-competitive??? what's wrong with forcing user to use safer browser to access their private data. If nothing else, this move will force Safari to include the feature that can protect their users. What you are saying is cop enforcing safe belt is anti-competitive to car maker that doesn't include a safety belt and safety belt have saved more lives than without it. what kind of logic is that?

    It's not the samething. Let's not get into the OSS vs Commerical software. Microsoft have proudcts and if they sold their proudcts then they should pay the tax. It's really shitty when Commerical software company try to avoid paying taxes and point the finger on those who do not pay for their proudcts.

    You sounded like someone who just read all the negative review without actually using Vista. I installed Vista Business edition 32bit on my Dell Dimension 1100 ( 2.1 Ghz Celeron D, 1 GB RAM and Nvdia FX 5500(128mb)) It run fine on such low end hardware with Visual Studio 2005, Office 2007, WarCraft3 Frozne throne...etc. Maybe, it's time for you to upgrade your rig from Pentium to more modern hardware.
