Except that it's basically unusable now. I don't know the details 100%, but the Ext2 IFS driver doesn't support Inodes that are larger than 128 bytes, according to the site you linked.
My understanding is that Ext3 defaults to 256 byte Inodes now. The only way to change it is to manually create the file system with some flags, no gui option, certainly not while I'm installing Fedora or Ubuntu.
I tried getting it to go but when I attempt to access the drives windows tells me it needs to be formatted before use. Not good!
Perhaps it will eventually be fixed, but I will agree with the GP, using NTFS from Linux has been rock solid for at least a couple years for me.
Times New Roman is still part of the Microsoft TrueType Core Fonts. Microsoft removed the download from their site, but they can still be downloaded in an unaltered form.

I believe the word you're looking for is "transcode" not "re-encode"
You are most definitely re-encoding the file if you convert it from FLAC to MP3 or any other format. It was encoded once to FLAC, and it is being encoded again to MP3. The difference is you aren't transcoding from one lossless format to another, so you don't lose any more quality than you would if you ripped it from a the CD.
I had Cogeco Cable until about a month ago, and I noticed A&E HD stretches 4:3 shows to fill the screen. Luckily my TV has a "4:3 HD" setting which basically squishes 16:9 picture down to 4:3. The fact that I have to do this is madness.
My LG upscaling HDMI DVD player also stretches 4:3 images to widescreen, which thankfully I can squeeze down to it's native aspect using my TV's setting. Honestly: A&E and LG, I'm looking at you! I want my shows in their original aspect ratio, my TV shouldn't be doing your dirty work for you!
I know this is offtopic, but isn't it incredible that there have been articles showing up in Idle that really shouldn't be in Idle? Perhaps this is/.'s way of trying to make sure we don't disable Idle from showing up on the front page.

On the old system, I would simply select "Fair" if the comment deserved the Troll moderation.
Now what do I pick? Do I pick Troll to agree with the moderation (which really is just moderating the comment a second time), or do I pick one of the [+] options to agree with the moderation?
Please someone answer this. Taco? I don't get it either, and it's completely put me off metamoderating. At least put in a description on the metamoderation page to explain what we're supposed to do.
I've been stuck in the exact same pit of confusion, am I moderating the comment, or the moderation? Just tell me how to moderate a comment that was rightfully modded troll/flamebait/etc.
I have to be honest, I didn't even read the front page before I linked it here. They do in fact have up to date releases (the latest 2.0 and 3.0 releases) but you have to follow the download link, which takes you to their Sourceforge page.
No need to fork. You can use the non-branded versions (Iceweasel, Icedove) that are available in Ubuntu/Debian/et al. There are also other builds available for most platforms of Swiftweasel, which IMO has nicer branding than the non-official builds of Firefox and Thunderbird.
I should have been more specific, by "securing" I meant encryption. As far as I know, even using WPA won't encrypt any MAC addresses.
Pulling open Network Stumbler is evidence of this, it will show all networks, with the router MAC. It will show hidden networks, just without the SSID (which can be found by other means anyway). I
Actually, PHP uses both != / !== and == / === as comparison operators.
== / != checks that the values are "equal" (same value, but not necessarily the same type; ie. 1 == "1" is true) === / !== checks that the values are "identical" (same value and data type; ie. 1 === "1" is false)

Then if I'm not mistaken, it would simply be ADD 1 TO COBOL.
Funny? Maybe. Unfortunately, I think it's more accurate (and sad) than funny.
So once everyone will be able to watch analog and digital, what will they do for the next recession?

Since SSDs don't have any seek time (or if they do, it's probably not measurable) the sequential and non-sequential I/O should be indifferent.

I understand what meta-moderation is, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to say anymore.
It used to be simple. You say the moderation was fair, unfair, or neither.
But now it is more complicated:

I'm sorry, what does that have to do with the English word virus?
Haven't you ever seen a TV ad with Jack Layton?
He generally finishes up his little talks with "Vote for Change, Vote for the New Democrats"

I guess "Preview" doesn't protect from stupidity ...
