I'm really annoyed at the so called real mac users. They seem to be a bunch of snobby bastards who wouldn't try anything else. Just so you know things don't become number 1 being crap. Windows has spent many years at number one because, even though so many people say its crap, it seems to fill the needs of what people need to do. I don't stand behind any OS, they all have their flaws, but i am completely against Mac.
Also Why is it called a "pro mouse" when it has one button? i have a logitech mx500 and i don't even need to move the cursor or touch the keyboard to go back, forward, scroll up and down, and switch applications. Accessibility anyone?

In these days though people expect technology to be 100% or not at all. But i can see what you mean. you'd want to get the phone fixed, but if the screen was damaged you can still keep some functionality until you had it repaired.
So if it happens to be true, can it also be the reason i find comfort in listening to Daft punk (the newer stuff) Aphex Twin and mr Oizo? Everyone who i know cannot understand why i listen to such weird and experimental music but it seems to make me focus in on tasks and makes me feel happier:D
People have also speculated that this is so M$ can blame the user later.
So they went through all the trouble to try and create a system which lets users know more about whats happening to tell them that in the end its all your fault if you get a virus? Why not just say in the EULA "Dont click anything, it could be a virus/worm/trojan/spy ware/ad ware. We wont help you then"?
Furthermore, why does windows have so much support then? why are there updates?
Its not "Deal with it yourself", its most likely "We cant protect you from it all, but we will try"
As for a non free OS comment, People use non free OSes these days because they honestly dont know how things work, and wont spend the time to. Its the same reason why anyone can build a car, but noone really does.

Google has integrated Talk into Gmail, and its seemless from The browser to the desktop app. Thats more convienent than MSN or Yahoo.
I use Gtalk all the time, its small, lightweight, and not bloated with crap, it takes up at max 40 megs of memory, wheras MSN idles at 80mb.
