Presumably the device would need to (magically?) upload everything it records to some remote location to protect the data from simple theft/destruction.
Naturally it won't prevent you from being brutally assaulted, but at least you might end but with some kind of evidence.
Though, recording and broadcasting everything you and everyone around you says and does might be a slight privacy concern.
You don't seem to agree with Apple's policy of doing whatever is best for Apple.
Perhaps you should have mentioned this when they first disclosed the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement, rather than later on when they were enforcing it.
But I don't see what's wrong in the video itself. There is a group of people with weapons-
It was merely assumed that they were enemies with weapons. They were actually civilian reporters with cameras.
Clearly they have somewhat questionable targeting practices.
Some time after the ground forces arrived they realized they fucked up pretty badly and naturally attempted to cover it up.
Going back and shooting at someone you know is already wounded is also bad. Driving over dead bodies doesn't help either.
I don't like pirates... they suck profit out of a tough field and generally make the world a worse place out of their selfishness... but I pirate games all the time just as a demo, and buy the ones that don't suck.
Sexual preference and skin color are not disabilities. They don't prevent anyone from doing anything.
Someone with color blindness is physically incapable of doing something that a large majority of people can do.
The colorblind are defective and must be repaired.
The extreme (and continued) success of the original game more than justifies the excitement for SC2.
Besides, all the supposed problems you mentioned are non-issues.
Dividing a large body of content into multiple releases is a reasonable thing to do. The mere fact that the first part is only told from the Terran perspective doesn't mean anything. They could have just as easily used the classic three race split and still gone on to release two expansions.
The whole no LAN thing likely doesn't matter to a vast majority of players. I don't think this requires much explaining. It essentially comes down to LANs being an archaic method of playing games with others.
Using one specific type of test to measure intelligence won't work very well. The designers will simply have their "AI" built around that one task. Chess playing computers, for example, can rely heavily on sheer processing speed and vast memory. They don't really need to be 'intelligent' to beat a human player.
But who cares how it works internally, right? Well, the problem is that this sort of approach limits what the AI can do. The human player can potentially get up and go do a billion other completely unrelated things, but the AI can only play chess.
... Demon's Souls is an extraordinary blend of the old and the new, and the result is so distinctive that it's hard to even find games to compare it to. Yes, it's a hard game. It is ruthlessly, unforgivingly difficult. But it is also amazingly compelling and rewarding, because the tools you need to survive are built into the very fabric of the experience. Demon's Souls is innovative, immersive, and immensely entertaining--and the best game of 2009.
I wouldn't exactly call that 'compelling evidence that hard=good'.
It's almost like they're saying it's good despite being hard, because of all other interesting things in the game.
Either way, gamespot picking Demon's Souls as game of the year doesn't mean squat. Sure, difficulty is important for any game, but it's not the all-important defining characteristic that determines overall success.
But I can't blame the VP for not realizing it was a joke
A joke? It's not like the kid was pretending it was a bomb. The VP apparently just pulled that idea out of his ass, and instead of doing something reasonable like asking him what it was, he went bananas and starting calling authorities.
No need for a test.
Even if his magical allergies really do exist his demands are still bogus.
Electromagnetic radiation won't cease to exist just because some crazy guy thinks it might be bad for him.
Dragon Age camera is full of fail. It more or less caused me to stop playing the game.
IMO the scroll limitation in the isometric view is the most atrocious of all.
A character must remain on the screen at all times, which means the most you can scroll is half a screen-width, which means you can't see shit.
This decision is just going to lead the game straight to ruin.
I imagine the total number of accounts that will be closed as a result of this incident will be somewhere around, well, one.
Assuming the guy goes to jail
Learned behaviour vs innate also can be isolated with proper experiment controls (i.e. separate them from their parents or use control population for parents - given more time and expertise you can usually solve most of these kinds of issues).

I grab a demo which means I'm already interested in seeing what the game is like. I use the demo to determine whether or not I want to purchase it.
So by not producing a demo they hope to eliminate the profit gained by the demo-playing crowd. Brilliant!

Oh, you did? And nobody cared then, either?

At some point it changes from folded paper to a big wad.

I guess it's okay if you do it.
Nice seventy year old stub.
Even if colorblind people can see the shit out of (certain types of?) camouflage it hardly negates the innumerable other things that they cannot see.

Shipping water from the moon to the earth would be pretty ironic.
Also, remember the horrible ratings Spore got on Amazon, because of the overly invasive DRM?
Spore probably got horrible ratings because it's crap.
Maybe someone would care if the vehicle had some practical applications.

Then we can use fusion and holographic storage to make the AI feasible!
over a decade late
Pffth! It only took them seven years to make it.

Sorry guys I can't go do a spacewalk to fix a solar panel tonight, gotta raid.
Fixed that for you.
That's what clowns do.
Maybe if it had been a normal person unicycling, or a clown simply walking, someone would have noticed.

And assuming they don't have WoW in jail.
"Just because he can't see the light doesn't mean he can drive through the intersection without due caution," Richter said.
That.
It's so hard to talk about these things. Nothing actually happened.

Has anything like that been done?
