  1. Sorry, I pay for Netflix.
I am not paying multiple suppliers.

I don't subscribe to music services, Radio is free. I don't "rent" my music from iTunes, I buy CDs, everyone can go out of business, but my CDs will still play fine.
    I also don't rent software.

Rubbish. When you are paying hundreds of thousands per year to top talent, you buy them what ever they are the most productive on.
Add on floor space, support staff, etc etc the cost can add up to be hundreds (even thousands) of dollars per hour to have that top talent
At that cost if you can save them just 1 minute per day by supplying them the computer and software they need, the computing costs work out to be zero over 4 years, paid for well and truely by time savings.

Correction they CURRENTLY do a $ for a £. The US population is 4% of the worlds population. I really doubt Apple would impose a "tariff" on the rest of the world simply because the US government has imposed one on the USA bound products. Its also looking more and more likely that Trump will be a 1 term president (if he even finishes the first term) , no company is going to spend billions in building factories in the USA when they can simply ride out the next 2 years.

The prisons require at least 3 shifts of staff.
Staff numbers per prisoner need to be high enough for safety.
Prisons just cost a LOT to build, maintain, and run.
And then there are the demands to lock people up for longer to "teach them good".
So they same people who begrudge anyone a liveable benefit seems happy to pay 5 times the amount to lock people up.
