    Yes, but there you still have to accept the safari license agreement. To prevent the installation of safari on my Mom's desktop I told my Mom to disagree to the license agreement, I hope we won't have to deal with that for a while.

    Conditions will start to improve. The best conditions will be in three to four years when sunspots peak. When the sunspots peak (and if you can receive single sideband), you will be able to hear hams from around the world using milliwatts. There will be times when you can hear all of the bands being active all of the time day and night.

    You don't need CDMA (maybe in February you may), simply activate an old AMPS (analog) phone and disable all of the unnecessary extras (Caller ID, text/pix/flix messaging, and of course voicemail).

    Remember with the brother printers you will eventually have to replace the drum unit as the HPs have the drum integrated into the toner cartridge. I know this because I have a Brother HL-2040 that I bought when my old Epson went to shit on me.

    Yeah, when I was getting my A+ training, my instructor put a bad SIMM in either the third or forth slot (an early PII) into my computer running WinME. The damn thing even booted and ran, although slow on only 16 Megabytes of RAM.

    No, but it is illegal to say that you cannot put a dish in a bucket of cement on your own (not shared) balcony. This rule only pertains to TV antennas and satellite dishes 1 meter or less in diameter and this law is in the United States.

    Also, the ones I got are so bright that I actually wonder if I got 75W or 100W equivalents instead of the 60W equivalents stated on the package...

    On the better quality GE Lights, I have noticed near 75 Watt performance on the 15 Watt lamps. Don't expect this from 13 or 14 watt lamps.

    I was part of the mess too, I got an iPod on Christmas eve, I was looking for podcasts on Christmas day and I noticed the problem. I thought it was a normal Christmas day overload not an issue. I had no problems on Tuesday.

    A watchmaker does not "make" watches. A watchmaker is a high grade of repair tech. The major difference between a watch repair person and a watchmaker is that a watchmaker can make the parts on demand if needed.

    The worst that reverse polarity on a phone line can do is make some early (60's and maybe 70's) touch tone phones not work. Most phone cords actually reverse the polarity so the cord does not have a twist when stretched out with the top of both connectors facing you.

    Most services that are based of off DBS are now two-way so this is not a cost issue. Systems that are operating off of Free-to-Air (FTA) type satellites are one-way satellite and one way dial-up.

    Not anymore, the old TVs you are talking about use tubes. The new ones are solid state and do not keep heater current flowing to the CRT (which is why they still have to warm up). You are talking about 4-10 Watts Max even for a HUGE CRT projection or plasma set. Standby modes have come a long way. Light bulbs, however is where the majority of the energy waste is at. I would go into more detail, but that would be redundant and I have to get my ass to class.

    What would happen if the terrorists got ahold of this and were able to make secure VoIP connections off of other's secured wireless networks and get the innocent into major trouble. With an unsecured network you could blame it on some idiot that got into your network through wireless, but with a secured network it is too difficult to prove.

    WRONG!!! You can mod me as flamebait, troll, fanboi, etc, but your problem is NOT the ISP, your config or anything like that. Your problem can be fixed for $60 (US) buy purchasing a Motorola Surfboard cable modem. My dorm (residential) connection is so reliable that I can run a business off of it if I wanted to. My CableCo Atlantic Broadband and they lease these out (this is how I have mine) and nobody here in my school has had a problem and that's good because its cable or dial-up no DSL even though we are in a suburb of Johnstown, Pa.
